When buying an affordable tablet in the Philippines, expectations should be set to a lower standard because we get what we pay for. However, there are always good finds from time to time.
Some of the latest budget-friendly tablets included here are reasonable for their prices, while some tablets offer a little more than they cost. So, take notes and choose according to your needs or wants!
Our first affordable tablet on the list, the Samsung Galaxy Tab A9, is but a humble tablet that offers a chic 8.7″ main display with 1340 x 800 (WXGA+) resolution. It has an 8MP rear camera, 2MP front camera, and an FHD (1920 x 1080) @ 30fps video recording resolution.
With 4GB RAM and 64GB ROM expandable up to 1TB, the Galaxy Tab A9 is powered by the Mediatek Helio G99 chipset paired with an octa-core CPU. It is running on and upgradable Android 13 One UI 5.1 and has a battery capacity of 5100 mAh that supports 15W of charging.
Not offering much, but this tablet can be your go-to budget-friendly tablet if you are looking for an extra companion for casual social media browsing, watching, casual drawing, and even editing.
The next one on our list is the Xiaomi Pad SE with premium feels and a bigger main display of 11″ FHD+ and 1920 x 1200, 207 (PPI) resolution. This display is paired with an 8MP rear camera, 5MP front camera, and a rear video recording of 1080P (1920×1080) 30fps and 720P (1280×720) 30fps.
There are variants of the Xiaomi Pad SE offering a ROM and storage of 4GB+128GB, 6GB+128GB, 8GB+128GB and supports expandable storage of up to 1TB. The Pad SE is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 processor and an octa-core CPU. It also uses an OS of MIUI Pad 14 based on Android 13 and has a larger battery capacity of 8000mAh that supports 10W charging.
The Xiaomi Pad SE is an okay option for casual use like the Galaxy Tab A9, has a larger battery capacity, and is smoother for multi-tasking and running different applications side by side.
A second one of Xiaomi in the list – the Xiaomi Pad 6 with an 11″ display and a 2880×1800 resolution, offers a different setup of camera than the first three. The Pad 6 is one of the three tablets that has the best camera setup in this list, with a rear camera of 13MP and a front camera 8MP.
It also offers 3 generous variants of RAM and storage pairs: 6GB+128GB, 8GB+128GB, 8GB+256GB LPDDR5 RAM.
Like the Pad SE, the Pad 6 has an OS of OS of MIUI Pad 14 based on Android 13. Even though the Xiaomi Pad 6 uses an old processor of Snapdragon 870, you can say it kind of make up for it with its mega battery capacity of 8840mAh with 33W wired fast-charging.
Next one is the realme Pad 2, with a slightly bigger 11.5” 120Hz 2K Super Display and 2000×1200 resolution. It offers 8MP AI rear camera and a 5MP front camera as well. The realme Pad 2 boasts its RAM options of 6GB/8GB with up to 16GB dynamic RAM that can be paired with 128GB/256GB upgradable to 1TB storage memory.
It is running on the same chipset as the Galaxy Tab A9, Mediatek Helio G99 and an octa-core CPU, while using the realme UI 4.0 for Pad based on Android 13 OS. Fortunately, the realme Pad 2 has an 8360 mAh mega battery with 33W SUPERVOOC charge and is offered with an option of an LTE version.
This is the affordable tablet you’d want to consider if you are looking for a bigger display and a fast-charging tablet with a large battery capacity that can run for hours. It is suitable for casual use, school stuff, and even some casual work.
The realme Pad 2 is priced at PHP 13,999 for the 6+128GB variant and PHP 17,999 for the 8+256GB variant, in colors Imagination Grey and Inspiration Green. You can check it out on Shopee.
Another one with a large main display of 11.5”, 2000×1200 resolution, and 120Hz refresh rate, the Honor Pad X9 enters the list offering a lower camera setup of 5MP rear and front camera. It has 4+3GB RAM and 128GB storage memory.
For its processor, the Pad X9 runs on Snapdragon 685 and an octa-core CPU. It incorporates an Android 13 based OS, MagicOS 7.1 and has a battery capacity of 7250 mAh.
It kind of sounds a little incompetent than the rest of the tablets here, but its upsides are its good-quality speaker and its inclusion – its own smart keyboard.
Honor’s second tablet offer, the Honor Pad 9 offers a better specs than the X9 starting with the biggest main display in the list, a 12.1” display and 2560×1600 resolution. It also has an upgraded and the best camera setup here, with 13MP for its rear camera and 8MP for its front camera.
The Pad 9 also has a generous 8+8GB RAM expansion and is available with 256GB storage. For its processor, the smooth Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 Mobile Platform is used with an octa-core CPU and a MagicOS 7.2. Not only that, as it boasts its mega battery as well with 8300 mAh battery capacity and a 35W fast-charging.
From a brand that’s not usually heard nor seen, Chuwi actually offers a decent 10.1” tablet for casual use. It has 60Hz refresh rate, a camera setup of 8MP and 5MP, and a memory and storage combination of 4GB+128GB expandable up to 8GB+512GB.
The Hi10 XPro is powered by an octa-core Unisoc T606 CPU and Mali G57 with an OS of Android 13. Its 7000 mAh battery capacity with 22W charging is decent for its price and is tolerable if you just use it for simple and casual tasks.
Presenting another uncommon brand that offers decent affordable tablets, the DOOGEE brand has its U10 and U10 Pro both have a 10.1” IPS HD display with resolutions 800×1280.
The U10 and the U10 Pro has the same camera setup of 8MP main camera and 5MP front camera. They both run on Android 13 and are powered by a quad-core RK3562 processor as well.
With a low battery capacity of 5060 mAh that supports only 10W of charging, DOOGEE’s tablets are not offering a lot since they are available at a very low price, but are still okay as a travel companion.
The only difference between the U10 and the U10 Pro is their memory and storage. U10 offers a memory and storage combination of 9GB+128GB expandable up to 1TB, while U10 Pro has up to 20GB RAM with 128GB expandable up to 1TB. This makes the U10 Pro the one with the highest RAM offer in the list.
As we’re nearing the end of our list, POCO do not disappoint. Having the biggest main display in the list, the POCO Pad boasts its 12.1” display with 2560×1600 resolution.
It has 8MP rear and front camera, and is available in generous memory and storage of 8GB+256GB that is expandable up to 1.5TB storage.
The POCO Pad is powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 and an octa-core CPU with Xiaomi HyperOS. This pad is also the tablet with the largest battery capacity in this list, with 10,000 mAh supporting 33W fast-charging.
Last but not the least, the HUAWEI MatePad 11.5”, as the name suggests, has an 11.5“ display paired with 2200×1440 resolution.
It offers the best camera setup out of the 11 tablets, with 13MP rear camera and 8MP front camera along with 3840×2160 pixels rear and 1920×1080 front video recording resolution.
With 6GB or 8GB RAM and a 128GB storage, MatePad 11.5” runs on octa-core CPU and Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1. It has an OS of HarmonyOS 3.1 with a battery capacity of 7700 mAh that supports 10V fast charging.
