The new Nokia G21 is now official!
This new Nokia G21 does not come with major upgrades from its predecessor but it can also give you longer battery life. It still comes with a 5,050mAh battery capacity but HMD mentioned that it can last you up to three days. Basically, they improved its power-saving modes, enabling the first level of battery saving at 20% instead of 10%. While at 10%, the phone will activate its second-level power saving to extend the battery life much more.
To recall, the previous Nokia G20 also has 5,050mAh battery capacity and also claimed to provide 3-day battery life. However, this latest G21 comes with faster-charging support of up to 18W via USB Type-C. Just do take note that it will only arrive with a lower 10W fast charging.
Moreover, this phone now also features up to a 90Hz screen refresh rate in its 6.5-inch display. Its display is only HD+ resolution, but now supports streaming in Netflix in HD. You may also consider enabling its adaptive mode to maximize its battery life.
HMD also upgrade its main camera to 50MP compared to the 48MP of the G20. Along with it are the 2MP macro lens and 2MP depth sensor. Besides, it still comes with an 8MP selfie camera shooter.
For the chipset, it features a more powerful 12nm Unisoc T606 octa-core processor, from MediaTek Helio G35. They paired it with up to 4GB of RAM and up to 128GB of internal storage. It also has a dedicated SIM card slot, so you can expand its storage via a microSD card. Meanwhile, it also runs Android 11 out of the box, and it is Android 12 ready.
Other features of this phone are 4G connectivity, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and face unlock technology. Lastly, the available colorways are Dusk and Nordic Blue.
