Philippine Telegraph and Telephone Corp (PT&T) announced on Wednesday that it has partnered with Australian tech company NetLinkz to offer users all around the Philippines access to SpaceX’s Starlink satellite internet services.Â
PT&T Will Start Selling Starlink Kits Soon!
In order to make satellite technology available to major corporations throughout the world, NetLinkz has partnered with Starlink. Filipinos may now buy a Starlink kit directly from PT&T thanks to the partnership, the listed company announced in an application to the stock exchange.Â
“We are thrilled to bring Starlink to the Philippines and offer our customers with the need for connectivity with a reliable internet solution,” said James Velasquez, PT&T President and CEO.
“Our partnership with Netlinkz allows us to provide high-speed internet access to areas where traditional broadband services are limited or unavailable.”
To recall, the SpaceX website offered the Starlink kit for purchase. Earlier this year, Starlink announced the launch of its services in the country. Remote and underserved areas are the main target of the technology, which leverages broadband from low-earth orbit satellites.Â
According to PT&T, monthly plans for Enterprise and Maritime customers change based on their specific requirements. Plans are offered with data caps ranging from 50GB to 6TB, it was added.Â
If you are interested in Starlink’s capabilities, we do have a video on our YouTube channel testing Starlink in Kandungaw Peak at Badian, Cebu. Even in the high part of the mountain, we got high-speed internet of up to 175Mbps. This device is very helpful when you are in remote areas.Â
