Meta’s owner, Marck Zuckerberg, has released the new Meta Quest 3 Virtual Reality (VR) headset. The Quest 3 improves on the previous model in many ways, and it is one of the cheapest VR headsets on the market.

The new headset will weigh 515 grams and have a 40% smaller optical profile than the previous model, the Quest 2. Because of the pancake optics design, the biggest visible difference is that it is thinner.
According to the Meta, the device can function alone, but it can also be connected to your PC via the Quest Link connection or wirelessly using Air Link. In terms of display, it will have a 2208 x 2064 resolution with a refresh rate of 90 Hz and 120 Hz (experimental mode). With a horizontal field of view of 110 degrees and a vertical field of view of 96 degrees, you can see more virtual worlds at once for the most immersive experiences ever.
It offers lens adjustment for more accurate lens alignment as well as smooth pupil distance adjustment for customizing the distance between the lenses to improve fit and image quality (Inter Pupillary Distance (IPD) ranges from 58mm to 71mm).
It features storage capacities of 128GB and 512GB. Allows for more exploration of the huge collection of titles. It also has integrated stereo speakers with 3D spatial audio that immerses you in your environment with 40% more audio range, bass range, and superior L/R matching capabilities.
In comparison to Meta Quest 2, the improved hardware stack and the first headset with the Snapdragon XR2 Gen 2 give double the GPU processing capability for quicker load times and more fluid gaming. Meta Quest 3 also offers 8GB of DRAM, which is 33% more than the Quest 2. 2 RGB color cameras plus a depth projector for better depth and resolution, providing 10x resolution and a 2x passthrough boost.
Enjoy the battery life of the Meta Quest 3, which may last up to 2.2 hours on average. On average, 2.4 hours are spent on gaming, 2.2 hours on social media, and up to 2.9 hours on media. It takes 2.3 hours to charge completely using the included 18-watt charger.
TruTouch haptics will be available with the Meta Quest 3 Touch Plus Controllers. It includes 3D spatial audio speakers incorporated into it and an adjustable head strap. Play with ease thanks to its four infrared cameras, which may also enable hand tracking.
TruTouch variable haptics give tactile feedback, allowing for a more complete range of in-experience sensations and allowing you to touch, move, and react accurately within virtual surroundings. A sleek, ring-free design allows you to play comfortably. Feel more natural movement and accurate input, as if they were an extension of your hands.

Pre-orders are currently open; however, they will be available first in the United States. It is unknown whether it will be available in the Philippines.
