vivo has announced the release of Funtouch OS 14 in worldwide regions for vivo consumers. The Android-based system includes all of the latest Android 14 features, as well as a unique vivo twist to give an improved, always-smooth user experience.
Funtouch OS 14
Funtouch OS 14 ensures users enjoy every contact with their device by focusing on enhancing memory management, multitasking capabilities, personalization, privacy, and security, as well as delivering new video editing tools to allow for greater creativity and freedom.
This newly released Funtouch also improves system efficiency, responsiveness, and the capacity to run multiple programs concurrently by lowering the number of persistent processes and improving RAM utilization. This improved RAM Saver function gives up to 600 MB of accessible RAM space to devices with 8 GB or higher RAM configurations, making multitasking a pleasure. A new App Retainer feature guarantees that whitelisted programs that have not been closed manually are always returned to the previous interface, allowing users to seamlessly resume where they left off.
The latest Funtouch OS 14 expands its benefits to certain smartphone devices, in addition to performance improvements, by incorporating Motion Blur. This creative use of sophisticated algorithms transforms the visual transitions between programs on your home screen into silky-smooth moves. Even on devices with a 60Hz refresh rate, visual smoothness is achieved smoothly, offering a wonderful visual experience.
The OS 14 elevates multitasking by delivering an improved tiny window capability. Users may have up to 12 tiny windows open in the background, and the OS supports side-swipe suspension, which gives them additional control. A new non-interactive mini-window mode is provided for scenarios such as ride-hailing, viewing a movie, and conversing at the same time, when users wish to focus on one app while keeping an eye on another. With a simple press, users may switch between tiny window modes.
Users now have plenty of options for completely personalizing their smartphones. Choose from three different layout options and eight font choices to personalize your lock screen clock. The new monochromatic theme, named MY color palette, is based on Material You design and offers a varied selection of colors to pick from. If that isn’t enough, take advantage of the new always-on-display styles and a minimalist theme that radiates simplicity and power economy while optimizing your display for grayscale images.
Be creative with its improved video editing tools, which allow users to produce various and interesting videos without relying on third-party apps. Users may now export videos in their original quality, including lossless export capability. Users have more creative power with customizable video quality options, including resolutions up to 4K at 60FPS. Additionally, 25 filters for simple video editing have been introduced, all of which are shown in redesigned thumbnails to better demonstrate the distinct effects and usage situations and make it easier to pick.
With Funtouch OS 14, you can also navigate your photo and video albums in a whole new way. You may now easily control the pace of video playing, loop movies, experience immersive full-screen playback, and snap screenshots.
Keep track of and have control over your personal information with the Funtouch OS 14. A new Smart Mirroring feature allows users to share their screen without fear of the notification bar appearing and mistakenly disclosing sensitive information. Further, users’ concealed photographs are now safeguarded by an extra password verification step.
In order to achieve perfection, vivo released the Android 14 beta for the vivo X90 Pro in May. In September, a restricted set of X90 Pro customers got the opportunity to test Funtouch OS 14, which was based on the Android 14 Preview Program.
