GoDigital Pilipinas plans to host the first-ever “Cashless Expo 2023” at the World Trade Center in Pasay City from November 17 to 19 in recognition of the continuous rising of the online world and technological era.
GoDigital Pilipinas was established with the goal of encouraging Filipinos to embrace the digital transition period and to promote digital competence, and it has been doing just that since its creation.
With a strong dedication to its goal of creating a highly digitalized Philippines, the group keeps advocating for the development of a connected and welcoming online community in alignment with President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s vision of putting Philippines at the center of the global digital stage, as well as the “Bagong Pilipinas” movement.
“The organizers and stakeholders from both the public and private sectors are joining together in order to create awareness and boost the Filipino consumer’s confidence in exploring the world of digital transactions and understanding its countless advantages,”
Executive Director Mishy Co
“Thus, we see the event as a celebration in digital progress and innovation.”
The 3-Day Cashless Expo 2023
The three-day Cashless Expo 2023 is planned as a collaboration between public and business sectors and exhibitors with the goal of advancing the so-called “cashless” transactions. Supporting this movement are farmers, SMEs, the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), the Department of Agriculture (DA), and the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP).
The Expo is intended to serve as a one-stop “bazaar” for customers, giving them the chance to purchase reasonably priced, locally manufactured goods, in order to fulfill the project’s goals and objectives. “Experiencing the best of the Philippines from all regions at affordable prices.”
In an effort to provide customers and merchants confidence to transition to digital payment transactions, exhibitors will only take digital payment methods, such as debit/credit cards, e-wallets, and cash transfers using digital banks.
“In fact, two of the leading fintech companies, Maya and GCash, are uniting in this event to support our mission,”
Executive Director Mishy Co
Additionally, McDonald’s, UnionDigital Bank, RCBC, Grab, Foodpanda, Tiktok, PLDT, Visa, Unionbank, and Zalora are co-sponsors of the event. Not only that, but a variety of interesting talks and informative workshops selected by public and private sector stakeholders will be offered to attendees as well.
Some of the themes and topics that will be covered includes the implementation of cashless payment systems, the latest products and services from registered sellers, new industry trends and techs, interesting ideas on marketing, collaborations, and so much more!
“Cashless Expo 2023 aims to provide visitors an immersive and transformative journey. We conceptualized the event as a sort of “platform” for consumers to experience first-hand the ease and advantage of doing digital transactions and for the market to develop a profound appreciation for going “cashless,”
“We are all united in these key messaging pillars: 1. Digital transformation is the key to propelling economic growth and prosperity; 2. Digital transactions are both convenient and secure; and 3. Switching to digital payments reduces the cost associated with producing and managing physical currency, thereby fostering financial stability and sustainability.”
