A new Lenovo AI-powered sustainability engine enables organizations to make more data-driven and sustainable IT purchasing decisions.
Lenovo’s Intelligent Sustainability Solutions Advisor (LISSA)
Lenovo’s Intelligent Sustainability Solutions Advisor (LISSA) provides clients with actionable sustainability data to help them understand their expected environmental effect throughout their IT lifetime and implement tailored solutions that correspond with their sustainability objectives.
LISSA’s Generative AI provides visibility into the estimated carbon emissions associated with various Lenovo sustainability solutions, including TruScale Device as a Service (DaaS), Asset Recovery, packaging efficiencies, lower-carbon shipping options, lifecycle extensions, certified refurbishment, and more. Additionally, LISSA assists in simulating different solution routes and identifying possible emissions reduction possibilities to meet the customer’s IT decarbonization goals in the digital workplace.
According to a recent survey, 87% of CEOs believe AI has the ability to address climate concerns, generate insights that can help reduce global greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, and open up new routes for climate action. Lenovo can assist enterprises in developing IT decarbonization paths that result in demonstrable sustainability outcomes by providing faster access to IT sustainability analytics and Gen-AI driven advice.
“At Lenovo, we’re keen to underscore that sustainability is a business imperative and top of mind among leaders across all industries,” said Claudia Contreras, Executive Director of Global Sustainability Services for Lenovo. “A new capability in our growing sustainability portfolio, LISSA arms customers with data and AI-powered recommendations to guide their IT purchasing decisions. By bringing sustainability attributes front and center, we enable customers to unlock potential emission reduction opportunities and deploy IT solutions that help drive sustainability goals.”
Lenovo is committed to reaching net-zero GHG emissions by 2050, using science-based objectives approved by the Science Based objectives Initiative’s (SBTi) Net-Zero Standard. Lenovo is also working via LISSA to allow clients to make data-driven, more sustainable IT decisions that lead to demonstrable results.
“There is no one defined path; each customer is on their unique sustainability journey and needs access to data to measure progress. Lenovo aims to help customers make real progress with data-led sustainability insights. AI-enabled recommendations and data intelligence will help plan and optimize IT investments with sustainability in mind. Lenovo can help organizations of any size compare multiple IT solutions in real-time, design an end-to-end IT solution that fits budget, computing, and help support sustainability goals,” Contreras said.
Lenovo can help businesses develop IT decarbonization pathways with measurable sustainability outcomes.
