Insta360 has announced the availability of the Insta360 Luna Ultra in the Philippines, marking the brand’s first entry into the gimbal camera segment.
Co-engineered with Leica, the camera combines a 1-inch sensor, 8K video recording, AI-powered features, and a compact stabilized design aimed at content creators and filmmakers. The Luna Ultra is now available through Insta360’s growing network of authorized retail partners nationwide.
Leica-Engineered Camera With 8K Video Recording
The Insta360 Luna Ultra features a dual-camera setup developed with Leica, consisting of a Leica Summicron wide lens and a dedicated telephoto camera. The system combines a 1-inch main sensor with a 1/1.3-inch telephoto sensor and supports up to 12x zoom, including 6x lossless zoom.
The camera can record up to 8K video at 30fps and supports Dolby Vision, 10-bit I-Log, and Leica color profiles. Insta360 also highlights up to 14 stops of dynamic range for improved detail in both bright and dark areas of a scene.

For photography, the Luna Ultra supports 37MP UltraPhotos and 200MP Scenic Panorama shots. The company also says its PureVideo mode is designed to improve image quality in low-light conditions.
AI Tracking and Built-In Stabilization
Powering the Luna Ultra is Insta360’s Triple AI Chip system, which handles image processing, subject tracking, autofocus, and AI-assisted editing features.
The camera is equipped with a mechanical 3-axis gimbal alongside electronic stabilization technologies for smoother footage. It also supports Deep Track 5.0, which can automatically keep subjects framed while recording.
In addition, a detachable 2-inch OLED touchscreen can be used for remote monitoring and camera controls from up to 20 meters away. The camera also includes four microphones with wind noise reduction for improved audio capture.
Compact Design Built for Content Creators
Despite its imaging capabilities, the Luna Ultra weighs just over 200g, making it easy to carry for everyday shooting.
The camera offers creative modes such as Dolly Zoom, Bullet Time, Barrel Roll, Night Mode, Portrait Mode, Slow Motion, and Time-Lapse recording.

Other features include Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth, USB-C, 47GB of internal storage, and support for microSD cards up to 1TB. Power comes from a 1,550mAh battery rated for up to four hours of use, with Insta360 claiming up to 80% charge in around 23 minutes.
Insta360 Philippines also shared plans to expand its retail presence across the country, targeting 50 authorized stores by the end of 2026. The company is likewise exploring the possibility of opening its first flagship store outside China, with Cebu being considered as a potential location.
