During the World Fintech Festival, Senator Manny Pacquiao mentioned that he would launch a digital payment platform named after him next year. That will work far and wide and with aspirations to connect Filipino businessmen to abroad customers. The PacPay aims to help users to make a convenient payment.
Senator Manny said that “With PacPay, we can help local businesses connect to global influencers and millions of fans around the world,”. Also, there will be a particular rewards program where users will obtain explosive perks, autographed products, and tickets.
However, this development is from Pac Technologies in partnership with a fintech remittance firm —Remsea.
He recently launched his cryptocurrency Pac Token last year that can consider as the first celebrity cryptocurrency. This app allows fans to buy his merchandise and interact with him via social media.
“The PacPay ecosystem is designed to support Filipinos who are in need. As users transact via PacPay part of our proceeds support charity projects in the Philippines,” he said.
Pacquiao stated that there is a philanthropic side in his new pursuit. Since they will use the part of the proceeds, they will get from PacPay to finance charity projects in the Philippines.
