Xiaomi won the court administering against U.S. Government after declaring the smartphone manufacturer as a Chinese Communist Military Company. To recall, the US government included Xiaomi in the Pentagon blacklist. This leads to the company banning and stops American investors from investing in them.
Last January, Xiaomi responded to the US government by filing a lawsuit. Besides, they also said that the US government did not provide any evidence to their accusation.
But this March 12, 2021, US District Judge Rudolph Contreras put an impermanent stop to the ban. He agrees to Xiaomi in a claim that contended that the move was ” arbitrary and capricious”. And denied the organization of its fair treatment rights.
Besides, he said that the company was likely to win a full reversal. This is after the prosecution unfurls and gave an underlying order to keep the organization from enduring “irreparable harm”.
Furthermore, they accept that the choices of designating it as a Chinese Communist Military Company are arbitrary and capricious, and the judge concurs with it.
Lastly, the company said that they intend to keep on requesting the court to announce the unlawful designation and remove them from the blacklist.
