Yesterday, former OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei has introduced its new company named ”Nothing”. Nothing is a London-based consumer technology company. This new company is surprisingly associated with iPod inventor Tony Fadell, Twitch co-founder Kevin Lin, Reddit CEO Steve Huffman, and YouTube Casey Neistat. This company is currently developing its first “smart devices” and plans to release them in the first half of this year.
Pei said in a press release that “Nothing’s mission is to remove barriers between people and technology to create a seamless digital future,”. He also added that “We believe that the best technology is beautiful, yet natural and intuitive to use. When sufficiently advanced, it should fade into the background and feel like nothing.”
Pei also confirmed in The Verge that the company plans to release products over different categories. Also, they ultimate vision is to release those with the ensuing aim of developing an ecosystem of devices.
Carl Pei left OnePlus in October, where he served as the company’s co-founder in the last 7 years. Additionally, Pei announced last month that he has already received $7 million from well-known names last month for his new venture.
Let’s wait for the upcoming products of this new company.
