Globe announces that its VoLTE service is now available to postpaid customers in 94% of all cities in the Philippines.
According to the Globe, its network deployment, as well as modernization and site extensions, have given customers another means to interact with loved ones, relatives, and respond to work-from-home and online learning-related problems.
Issa Guevarra-Cabreira, Globe Chief Commercial Officer said that they now have 30% of their customers who already using VoLTE services. Besides, they see an approximately 8% monthly growth in terms of customer adaption.
“We are optimistic that more customers will latch on to this new service in the coming months because it provides a great customer experience for them and once again gives them the power to choose what works best for them,” she added.
Cabriera also stated that they are now working to expand the VoLTE in all the cities of the country.
For those who are unfamiliar with VoLTE, it can provide high-speed wireless communication for mobile using 4G LTE. In comparison, VoLTE provides several advantages over traditional voice services available on 2G and 3G networks.
In addition, it has three times the voice capacity of 3G and up to six times the capacity of 2G. It allows the network to accommodate more consumers making calls at the same time. And you can use this service for faster call set-up, clearer audio quality, and fewer lost calls.
