    GOMO SIM Registration: A Step-by-Step Guide

    Even our GOMO SIMs are required to be registered, GOMO fam! This detailed easy step-by-step guide for GOMO SIM registration is for you.

    The current SIM Registration Act in the Philippines requires ALL SIM cards – old and new – to be registered before they are able to be activated and used. This includes the GOMO SIM we use for our daily/monthly internet access, that is why we also have to register every GOMO SIM we purchase and use.

    GOMO SIM Registration

    If you don’t, you risk losing your SIM service or even receive legal consequences. This procedure can be completed in a few minutes, GOMO fam, and it is certainly going to keep the Philippines’ communications environment safe and secure for all users.

    Everything You Need

    There are only few things this SIM registration requires:

    • Full name
    • Birth date
    • Gender
    • Address (Province, City/Municipality, Barangay, and Zip code)
    • Valid ID

    List of Accepted Valid IDs

    • Passport
    • National ID
    • Social Security Service (SSS) ID
    • Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) E-Card
    • Driver’s license
    • National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) Clearance
    • Police Clearance
    • Firearms’ License to Own and Possess ID
    • Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) ID
    • Integrated Bar of the Philippines ID
    • Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) ID
    • Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) ID
    • Voter’s ID
    • Senior Citizen’s Card
    • Unified Multi-purpose Identification (UMID) Card
    • Person with Disabilities (PWD) Card
    • Other government-issued ID with photo

    Step-by-step GOMO SIM Registration

    The following will be a number of steps for registering your GOMO SIM, following a slide of pictures that corresponds to all steps.

    1. Make sure your GOMO SIM is inserted in your phone.
    2. Download the “New GOMO PH” app from your Play Store, and open it. Your old GOMO app won’t work, so you have to download the newer version.
    3. Click “Activate your SIM”.
    4. Enter your GOMO number, and click “Next”.
    5. Input the 6-digit PIN you used when you activated your SIM, then click “Log in”.
    6. Click “Complete my SIM registration”, and you will receive a text message containing your One Time Pin (OTP).
    7. Input your OTP, and you will be directed to Personal Info page.
    8. Fill up all the required fields, this includes your birthdate, full name, and gender, then click “Next”.
    9. Fill up all required info about your address. This includes your house number, street, province, city/municipality, and barangay. Click “Next”.
    10. You will be asked to prepare a valid ID, click “Got it”.
    11. Choose the type of ID you currently have.
    12. Upload a photo of it, as well as a selfie of you, and input your ID number.
    13. It will show you a summary or review of all the information you provided. Check the box confirming GOMO terms and conditions.
    14. Click “Submit”, and you’re now registered! Save your reference number as a proof of your registration for future references.

    If you are experiencing app loading errors

    Try these:

    • Close and open the App
    • Change Wifi or Reconnect the internet
    • Airplane mode on and on
    • Try to register using a different phone
    • Extra patience

    If you experience error uploading photos

    Try these:

    • Move to the brighter view of the image
    • Keep the camera steady to avoid a blurry image
    • Upload instead of taking a picture
    • Take a picture instead of uploading
    • Try a different kind of ID
    • Do it in the morning when you can take pictures with good lighting
