The newest HONOR 70 5G that just came to the Philippines might just be the way to go if you are looking for a premium quality mid-range phone.
The HONOR 70 5G was launched globally last September, and now it has made its way to Philippines! It was set to captivate the crowd with its premium features.
The phone sports a punch-hole on the top that houses the 32 MP selfie camera. Meanwhile, at the back of the phone sits the flagship-grade IMX800 54 MP main camera. As well as a 50 MP ultra-wide and macro unit. Plus, a 2 MP depth sensor in a pretty packed camera setup. And an additional LED flash.
These gives you great photos with quality dynamic range and details. The phone can record up to 4K 30 fps in terms of video recording. Even though there’s no OIS, its Gyro-EIS still manage to stabilize shots. Provided that there’s only minimal movements.
It also has a special feature that allows you to focus on a specific subject. It is called the Solo Cut. The device can track the selected subject on the secondary video. You can switch to a different subject with a single tap, then the phone will output two separate video files. Separate for the main recording and another for the focused subject. This feature is useful for when you want to focus different people for a music video or an interview and many more. Add to that is the Story Mode that combines a set of saved clips and videos to create a short film based on a specific theme. Which by the way you get to choose.
There’s also Story Mode, which combines a set of pre-shot clips to create a short movie based on a certain theme that you get to choose.
This flagship phone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G Plus octa-core processor clocked at 2.5GHz. It may not be the most powerful mid-range chip but it still gives a good balance of performance and efficiency. Which makes the phone glide through day-to-day tasks with such breeze. Its performance will make you forget that it is a mid-range device.
As it is powered by a Snapdragon, you can best believe it can handle your online games with high performance. And don’t forget how you multitask and switch from game to game. That would not be a problem as it has an 8 GB RAM and a 256 GB internal storage which can support your multitasking.
The HONOR 70 5G runs on HONOR’s Magic UI 6.1, which is equivalent to Android 12. It gives off that familiar design, as it is inspired by its former parent brand. Aside from that, the device sports a 4,800 mAh non-removable battery with 66W wired fast charging. So, you don’t have to worry about losing a game because your phone dies. You do not have to wait long before your phone is fully charged again and be able to enjoy your games.
The device uses a 6.67-inch Full HD+ OLED curved display with 2499 x 1080pixel resolution, 394ppi and a 120Hz refresh rate. That means you will get smooth and fluid animations across the UI and in compatible apps. And the lowest refresh rate the screen can do is 60 Hz as it is not an LTPO panel. For next level visuals in games and apps, this device uses the Adreno 642L GPU.
The phone is 161.4 x 73.3 x 7.91mm with a weight of 178g. It can be bought in the colors Crystal Silver and Midnight Black.
It is a Dual SIM device with Dual standby. It also has an under-display fingerprint scanner plus a face unlock for more security. Unfortunately, it has no headphone jack but it uses a USB Type-C charger like most of the phones nowadays.
