HUAWEI Mate X6 is now official in the Philippines!
Yesterday, we attended the media launch event at the headquarters of HUAWEI Philippines, where the brand unveiled its latest devices, including the Mate X6, nova 13 series, TWS earbuds, a smartwatch, and a tablet.
We had the chance to get hands-on with the HUAWEI Mate X6 and explore its features. This premium foldable phone boasts a sleek and elegant design with an ultra-slim body—9.9mm thick when folded and just 4.6mm when unfolded—while weighing only 239g.
Despite its thin profile, the Mate X6 is built to last, featuring Kunlun Glass 2nd generation and a carbon fiber inner screen plate for screen protection. It also has a 550 MPa aviation-grade aluminum frame designed to withstand drops and impacts. Additionally, it offers peace of mind with a 2-meter IPX8 water resistance rating.
One of the standout features of this foldable phone is its camera system. The rear setup includes a 50MP ultra-aperture main camera, a 40MP ultra-wide-angle lens, a 48MP telephoto macro lens, and a 1.5M spectral channel ultra-chroma camera, delivering high-quality photos and videos. For selfies, it offers an 8MP cover camera and an 8MP unfolded camera.
The HUAWEI Mate X6 features a stunning 7.93-inch OLED main display with a resolution of 2440 x 2240, a 1-120Hz LTPO adaptive refresh rate, and 1,440Hz high-frequency PWM dimming. Its cover screen is a 6.45-inch OLED panel with a resolution of 2440 x 1080, also supporting the same refresh rate and dimming technology.
Powered by the Kirin 9020 octa-core chipset with Maleon 920 GPU, the Mate X6 is equipped with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. It runs EMUI 15 based on HarmonyOS 4.3, providing a smooth and productive user experience.
The 5,110mAh battery ensures enough power for a full day of tasks. It supports 66W wired charging and 50W wireless HUAWEI SuperCharge for added convenience.
I love its multi-task magic feature that allows users to switch between up to three open apps at the same time to deliver a seamless multitasking experience. Besides, its fancy Air Hoops feature that allows you to play basketball with just air gestures is also fun.
