HUAWEI has officially introduced the HUAWEI WATCH Kids X1 in the Philippines, a new smartwatch designed to help parents stay connected with their children alongside features such as communication, safety, as well as location and activity tracking in a kid-friendly package.
The HUAWEI WATCH Kids X1 will be available nationwide starting June 30, 2026, with an early promotional price of PHP 13,999 beginning June 23.
HUAWEI WATCH Kids X1 Safety and Location Tracking
One of the focus features of the WATCH Kids X1 is its location-tracking system powered by HUAWEI’s network-based positioning technology.
The smartwatch supports multiple satellite navigation systems, including GPS, BeiDou, GLONASS, Galileo, and QZSS. Combined with dual-band GNSS and dual-band Wi-Fi positioning, parents can monitor their child’s location through the HUAWEI FamCare app.
Parents can also create custom safe and danger zones, and receive notifications when a child enters or leaves designated areas. The watch includes a School Guard feature that automatically alerts parents when children arrive at or leave school or home.
For emergencies, children can press the side button five times to activate an SOS alert, which automatically contacts family members.
Parental Controls and Family Connectivity
The HUAWEI FamCare app serves as the main companion platform for parents and allows them to manage chats, monitor battery levels, review usage time, and control device settings remotely.
Additional features include:
- Nighttime usage controls
- Automatic blocking of unknown callers
- Class Mode to minimize distractions during school hours
- Battery and charging notifications
The smartwatch also promotes kids’ physical and emotional well-being with its PPG optical heart rate sensor and long-term health trend monitoring through the FamCare’s “Growth” section.
In addition, the smartwatch supports HD video calls with AI noise cancellation, helping improve call clarity in busy environments. With the support of global 2G, 3G, and 4G networks, children can stay connected with approved contacts in different locations.
Dual Cameras and Rotating Design
The WATCH Kids X1 features a unique rotating design that allows the watch body to flip and rotate up to 360 degrees for easier photo and video capture.
It is equipped with a 5MP front camera featuring a 110-degree ultra-wide lens and a 13MP rear camera for higher-quality photos. HUAWEI also includes multi-frame noise reduction and a dedicated Night Mode to improve image quality in different lighting conditions.
The watch supports One-Tap Photo Sharing and offers up to 32GB of storage, allowing users to save a large collection of photos and videos.
AMOLED Display and Customization Options
The device features a 1.82-inch AMOLED display designed specifically for younger users. HUAWEI says the watch maintains a slim profile at 13.4mm while remaining comfortable for all-day wear.
To make the experience more engaging, children can personalize the watch with:
- 40 official watch faces
- More than 100 stickers
- 14 filters
- 6 photo styles
The smartwatch also supports the Shake to Add Friends feature, allowing nearby HUAWEI children’s watches to connect, subject to parental approval.
Battery Life and Durability
The WATCH Kids X1 comes with an 850mAh battery, which HUAWEI claims can provide up to 32 hours of usage on a single charge.
Fast charging support allows the battery to reach 50% capacity in around 20 minutes.
For durability, the smartwatch carries IPX8 and IPX9 (2ATM) water resistance ratings, allowing it to withstand everyday exposure to water, including hand washing or swimming activities.
Pricing and Availability
The HUAWEI WATCH Kids X1 will be available in Breezy Blue and Candy Pink color options with a breathable strap.
It launches in the Philippines on June 30, 2026, with an early promotional price of PHP 13,999 starting June 23. Customers can purchase the smartwatch through HUAWEI Experience Stores, the HUAWEI Online Store, and the brand’s official stores on Shopee, Lazada, and TikTok Shop.
Customers can claim a PHP 2,000 early bird voucher via online stores, while offline customers will automatically receive a PHP 2,000 first sale discount. The HUAWEI Watch Kids X1 also comes in a bundle with a free one-year unlimited accidental damage protection plan and a complimentary battery replacement service worth PHP 1,599.
There is also an opportunity to take advantage of installment plans via credit card for up to 12 months or through Home Credit for up to 9 months with a required 30% down payment.
