Smart Communication, Inc. partnered with the City of Las Piñas for the release of free Smart WiFi across the city.
Smart conveyed fiber-powered WiFi connectivity in Las Piñas barangays, elementary and high schools, and City Hall under this partnership. They are also working with the Department of Education (DepEd) Las Piñas for its distance learning program. By that, they already turned over PLDT Home WiFi units. In addition, this project is essential for the telco’s Corporate Social Responsibility crusade “Live Smarter for a Better World”.
According to Smart Newsroom, this free WiFi project would benefit more than 5,000 school children. Also, it will help these children by empowering them to pursue their passions.
“As we bring the benefits of the Internet closer to homes and community in Las Piñas, we are able to create stronger bonds and fulfill our vision of a modern city that values family and community ties,” said Vice Mayor April Aguilar
Moreover, this project is essential for the telco’s Corporate Social Responsibility crusade “Live Smarter for a Better World”.
“With the Internet, we are not just helping Las Piñas residents to unlock more employment and livelihood opportunities, we will also be able to assist the youths develop their technical and entrepreneurial skills,” the Vice Mayor added.
Aside from Las Piñas City, Smart’s Barangay Connect project will soon incorporate Antipolo, Mandaluyong, General Santos, and Nueva Ecija.
