MediaTek today introduced its latest Helio G96 and Helio G88 SoCs. This latest Helio G series chipsets enable device manufacturers to deliver smooth displays, intelligent OS experiences, and exceptional photography features.
Starting last year until the present time, MediaTek dominates the smartphone market since most of the budget to mid-range smartphones often feature MediaTek processors. Helio G series is one of the company’s processor series that give them massive success. And today, they unveiled two new Helio G processors, the Helio G96 and Helio G88.
“With the launch of the Helio G96 and Helio G88, MediaTek advances its position as the leading mobile chip innovator, delivering new SoCs to boost display and photography experiences for the mainstream market,” said CH Chen, Deputy General Manager of Wireless Communication Products at MediaTek’s Wireless Business Group.
He also added that “MediaTek is continually advancing chip performance, speed and reliability. These new Helio G series chips are at the core of incredible mobile experiences.”.
This MediaTek Helio G96 processor will provide a superior user experience with its support for 120Hz displays. Besides, this 120Hz refresh rate capability can also support FHD+ resolution LCD or AMOLED screens. Hence, expect a smoother scrolling of webpages and animations in apps with a phone that will feature this processor.
In addition, it also supports up to 108MP cameras, fast Cat-13 4G LTE WorldMode modem integration, and VoLTE and ViLTE services. It also provides its Intelligent Resource Management Engine and Networking Engine. Therefore, this processor will surely offer a series of features and capabilities to 4G smartphones.
Along with the Helio G96, MediaTek also announced its new Helio G88 processor that supports fast 90Hz displays. With that, it will provide ultra-smooth mobile app and operating system (OS) capabilities. Its octa-core CPU has two Arm Cortex-A75 CPUs that can run at up to 2.0GHz. So, assume that it will provide you quick responses, faster camera captures, and high-speed program loading.
Moreover, the Helio G88 improves on previous generations of photographic brilliance with support for up to 64MP primary cameras. It has a hardware depth engine enabling dual-camera bokeh shots as well. Besides, it also has a Camera Control Unit (CCU), and Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS), and Rolling Shutter Compensation (RSC) technologies.
