Motorola unveils its latest Moto G Stylus 2022 that now brings a lot of upgrades.
Motorola Moto G Stylus 2022 is now official!
To remember, Motorola started releasing Moto G Stylus in the year 2020 and they now announced its new 2022 model. This year’s model now features a smooth 90Hz screen refresh rate in its 6.8-inch FHD+ display with a 20:9 aspect ratio. Here you can enjoy taking down notes or sketching with its stylus pen. Its stylus pen is the selling point of this phone since it is more affordable compared to Samsung’s S Pen.
The new Moto G Stylus also comes with a centered punch-hole that carries a 16MP selfie camera. It also has a triple rear camera setup consisting of a 50MP main shooter, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP depth sensor. Motorola mentioned that it can make low-light images crisp and brilliant, as well as close-up shots more detailed. Besides, its camera has these modes: macro vision, night vision, ultra-wide lens, spot color video, and dual capture.
Moreover, this device now features a 12nm MediaTek Helio G88 octa-core processor, from the 11nm Snapdragon 678 of its predecessor. We don’t know the reason why Motorola uses a lower chipset. But this model now comes with 6GB RAM, has an additional 2GB from last year’s model. It also has a large 128GB internal storage and you can expand it up to 512GB via a microSD card slot.
Motorola also boasts its large 5,000mAh battery capacity that can provide up to 2 days battery life. In addition, it only comes with a 10W charger which is quite slow for its large battery capacity.
The Moto G Stylus runs Motorola’s My UX based on Android 11 out of the box. It also comes with a plastic body that has a water repellent coating. Also, it will arrive with Twilight Blue and Metallic Rose colorways.
Other features of this phone are a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, face-unlock technology, 4G, 3.5mm earphone jack, single SIM, and ThinkShield.
Price and availability
The price of the Moto G Stylus 2022 is USD 299 (around PHP 15.2K). It is now available for pre-order in the US and will be on sale starting February 17. There’s no details yet about its local pricing and availability, so stay tuned!

We have using this promo since last year and we were surprised of the of the increase and yet had restrictions. As of April of 2022 we have been experiencing network losses until now. The pocket modem indicates only 3G and no WPS function. It is true that the restrictions are in place and I think it is not worth the hassle for us who enjoyed it while it was cheaper and better service. Whats the point of it being charged 599 for something thats has a data cap that can only be used up to 3 devices. The price increase did not justify the service.
