A Soulslike (or Souls-like) is a subgenre of action role-playing games (or action-adventure games) known for high levels of difficulty and emphasis on environmental storytelling (typically in a dark fantasy setting). It had its origin in Demon’s Souls and the Dark Souls series by FromSoftware, the themes and mechanics of which directly inspired several other games. Soulslike games developed by FromSoftware themselves are more specifically referred to as Soulsborne games, a portmanteau of Souls and Bloodborne. Souls-likes have been adopted by a number of critics and developers.

Project: The Perceiver is an upcoming open-world action experience developed by a Chinese team. The game was originally announced almost a month earlier as an exclusive title for PS4 and PS5, though the game’s visuals look too good for a PS4 title.

Night Crows
Wemade, the parent company of growing blockchain gaming platform WEMIX, last week announced 2 new games at G-Star 2022. Powered by Unreal Engine 5, Night Crows is a MMORPG developed by new studio MADNGINE, led by the CEO and producer, Son. According to records, he was a core developer who worked on Nexon’s V4, HIT, and Overhit. Night Crows uses a 13th century European medieval theme, with elements such as religions, royal families, the Pope, and knights.
This twisted version of the world is secretly monitored and controlled by a group known as Night Crows. Players can expect “over 16 playable characters,” “1000-player PVP,” “aerial to ground combat,” and many more. Stay tuned for more details on Night Crows, which is scheduled to launch in South Korea in 2023. No platforms have been confirmed, although PC is definitely included due to the game being on WEMIX.
