Nokia G22: Repairability is the next step in our longevity journey
With the help of iFixit, you can now fix the Nokia G22’s battery, charging port, or display with the right tools, instructions, and components. Of course, you may also take the G22 to an authorized repair shop to get those problems fixed.
According to HMD, the Nokia G22 battery repair takes roughly 5 minutes and requires only a SIM ejector tool, a guitar pick, and a screwdriver. With a few more tools, changing the display takes roughly 20 minutes. Nokia has simplified the steps required to repair the G22 by eliminating the requirement to heat the rear cover and use alcohol to remove the battery.
Sustainability is a major focus of the Nokia G22. It is designed for people who wish to maintain their phones for as long as possible and features a 100% recycled plastic back cover.
For the specifications, the Nokia G22 features a 6.52-inch HD+ display with Gorilla Glass 3 protection and supports a 90Hz refresh rate. It is also powered by a 12nm Unisoc T606 octa-core chipset with two 1.6GHz ARM Cortex A75 power-efficient cores and six up to 1.6GHz ARM Cortex A55 cores as well as ARM Mali G57 MP1 GPU.
HMD paired its chipset with 4GB RAM and up to 128GB internal storage. It also runs Android 12 out of the box and two OS upgrades and 3 years of security updates. That means it should receive an Android 14 update.
Moreover, the Nokia G22 also boasts a triple camera setup consisting of a 50MP main shooter, 2MP macro lens, and 2MP depth sensor making it great for photography.
For the battery, this device is packed with a 5,050mAh battery capacity that is claimed to provide up to 3 days of battery life. Besides, it supports a 20W wired fast charger.

The new Nokia G22 is now available in Europe with a price starting at EUR 179 (or around PHP 10.3K). However, there are no details yet if HMD plans to release it to the Philippines, so stay tuned!
