The OPPO Pad SE is one of the newest budget tablets on the block, priced under PHP 10,000. But the big question is, can it hold its own and offer real bang for your buck? Let’s find out.
I’ve been using the OPPO Pad SE for the past few weeks, and I think it’s about time to share my insights on my experience with this tablet. By the way, if you missed it, I also shared my first impressions earlier, feel free to check that out too!

Display and Multimedia Experience
Firstly, I really enjoyed using this tablet for watching movies and bingeing on shows. It features a large 11-inch LCD display with 2K resolution. Even though it uses an IPS panel, the colors still pop, and the visuals look pretty vibrant. Brightness isn’t an issue either, as it supports up to 500 nits, which is more than enough for indoor use.
What’s even better is the 90Hz refresh rate support, which is a bonus since we don’t usually get it at this price point. The higher refresh rate definitely makes everyday use feel smoother, whether you’re scrolling through apps, reading, or even playing light games.
When it comes to watching movies or listening to music, the OPPO Pad SE steps up with its audio. It has a quad-speaker setup that delivers loud and immersive sound. Plus, with Hi-Res and Hi-Res Wireless certification, you get clear and detailed audio whether you’re using wired or wireless headphones.
On top of that, OPPO’s own Omnibearing Sound Field technology adjusts the audio based on how you’re holding the tablet, so you get a balanced sound experience whether you’re watching in portrait or landscape mode.

Performance and Software
When it comes to performance, the OPPO Pad SE doesn’t disappoint. It runs on a 6nm MediaTek Helio G100 processor, which holds its own for daily tasks and casual use.
I’ve been using my usual apps with no hiccups, and gaming on this tablet has been surprisingly smooth. I’d say ColorOS 15, which is based on Android 15, plays a big role here. The software is well-optimized, so even with just 4GB of RAM, everything still runs pretty well.
Multitasking isn’t a hassle either. I was expecting some lag given the memory size, but to my surprise, switching between apps was still fairly smooth. It goes to show that a well-optimized system can really make a difference.
From my experience, this tablet is a solid pick for students and young professionals looking for an extra device to boost productivity. It’s great for note-taking, reading, attending online classes, or handling light work on the go. And when it’s time to unwind, it’s also a fun gadget for browsing social media, watching videos, or playing a few games.
Speaking of games, we tested out titles like Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, Call of Duty Mobile, Asphalt 9: Legends, and Farmville, and they all ran without a problem. It also scored 429,491 on the AnTuTu Benchmark, respectable numbers for a tablet in this price range.
Camera Performance
Another feature of the OPPO Pad SE that surprised me is its camera. I wasn’t expecting much, but both I and my co-writers were impressed by the photo quality. It only has a 5MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera, but for basic tasks like snapping documents or casual video calls, it gets the job done.
Of course, video recording is only decent, which is expected at this price point. But for Zoom calls, Google Meet, or the occasional selfie, I had no issues. Plus, the built-in mic delivers clear and decent audio, so you won’t be left shouting just to be heard.
Battery Life and Charging
The OPPO Pad SE really holds its ground when it comes to battery life. With its massive 9,340mAh battery, it easily became one of the longest-lasting tablets I’ve used so far. Even with hours of social media scrolling, light gaming, and working on documents, it still managed to last me up to two days on a single charge. That kind of battery life is very beneficial for students or professionals who are always on the go and need something they can rely on.
Now, if you do run low on juice, the tablet supports 33W SUPERVOOC fast charging. But here’s the catch, because the battery is so big, that 33W charger does feel a bit slow. In my experience, charging from around 20% to full took just over two hours. It’s not a dealbreaker, but it’s something to keep in mind.
Another thing to note: there’s no power adapter included in the box. So unless you already have a compatible OPPO charger lying around, you’ll need to shell out a bit more for a SUPERVOOC adapter. Sure, you can use a regular third-party charger, but don’t expect it to charge quickly. The tablet only hits its full charging speed with SUPERVOOC technology.
Conclusion
For a budget tablet, the OPPO Pad SE brings a lot to the table. It doesn’t feel cheap at all and it stands out among other tablets. You’re getting solid performance, a sharp and vibrant display, decent cameras, and excellent battery life. All in all, I think it’s a great choice for anyone who needs a reliable device for school, work, or even just casual use.
If you’re in the market for a budget-friendly tablet that gets the job done without cutting too many corners, the OPPO Pad SE is definitely worth checking out.
