Recently, realme announced its latest 9 Pro line up, today they launched its new 9 5G series in India.

Let’s first talk about the realme 9 5G which features a 6nm MediaTek Dimensity 810 5G octa-core processor. It also comes with up to 6GB RAM and supports up to 5GB Dynamic RAM expansion. This phone also has up to 128GB UFS 2.1 faster internal storage. Besides, it possesses a large 5,000mAh battery capacity with up to 18W fast charging support.
The device equips with a large 6.5-inch display with 2400 x 1080 resolution. This screen supports up to 90Hz refresh rate and 180Hz touch sampling rate. Meanwhile, it has a punch-hole placed at the top-left which carries the 16MP selfie camera. At the back, there’s a triple camera setup consisting of a 48MP main shooter, a 2MP macro lens, and a 2MP depth sensor.
realme 9 5G SE (Speed Edition)
Next is the realme 9 5G SE which stands for “Speed Edition”. With the name itself, it features a faster 6nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G 5G octa-core processor. This device has a larger RAM of up to 8GB and also supports up to 5GB Dynamic RAM expansion. While for storage, it only comes with a 128GB UFS 2.2 internal storage. The realme 9 5G SE also features a 5,000mAh battery capacity but supports a faster 30W Dart charge technology.
Moreover, it boasts a larger 6.6-inch IPS LCD screen that also has FHD+ resolution. realme mentioned that it supports a smoother 144Hz screen refresh rate and 240Hz touch sampling rate. For its camera, it has the same 48MP triple rear camera setup and 16MP selfie camera.
Both of these phones run on realme UI 2.0 based on Android 11. They also both have a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
Price and availability
These new 9 5G series will go on sale in India starting March 14 in Flipkart. The price of the vanilla version starts at INR 14.9K (PHP 10.2K), while INR 19.9K (PHP 13.6K) for the Speed Edition. There’s no announcement yet about their local availability. However, the 9 Pro series is also set to launch in the Philippines this coming March 15, so stay tuned!
