realme has finally launched its long-awaited GT 2 series with the vanilla GT 2 and flagship GT 2 Pro.
realme GT 2 series is now official
Let’s first talk about the realme GT 2 Pro. This flagship smartphone features the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset. They also packed it with a large 6.7-inch LTPO 2.0 AMOLED display with QHD+ resolution, 10bit colors, and HDR10+. Its screen also supports a 1-120Hz adaptive refresh rate and 1,000Hz touch sampling rate and has Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection. According to realme, the panel can give better battery life with up to 50% less power usage than previous AMOLEDs.
On the other hand, the vanilla model GT 2 will come with the latest Snapdragon 888 midrange chipset. This phone has a smaller 6.62-inch AMOLED that supports a 120Hz screen refresh rate. Unfortunately, its screen only has FHD+ resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection.
For the camera, both phones use the same 50MP Sony IMX766 primary sensor with OIS and 1.0m pixels. However, the other two remaining sensors in GT 2 are not yet confirmed. But the Pro has a Samsung JN1 50MP ultra-wide lens, and a microscope lens similar to OPPO Find X3 Pro.
Moreover, the GT 2 Pro features up to 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and up to 512GB UFS 3.1 internal storage. The vanilla GT 2 also has up to 12GB LPDDR5 RAM but only has up to 256GB UFS 3.1 internal storage. Besides, they both come with a large 5,000mAh battery capacity that supports 65W fast charging. With this 65W fast charging, realme said it can fully charge the device in just 33 minutes.
They also run Realme UI 3.0 based on Android 12 out of the box. Meanwhile, the Realme GT 2 series is available in Paper White, Paper Green, Steel Black, and Titanium Blue colorways.
