It’s now 2023 and a lot of us are transitioning to wireless technology like earbuds. Presently, there are a lot of inexpensive True Wireless Stereo (TWS) earbuds available in the market. Most of them do not sound good and are not worth buying, fortunately, few meet our expectations like the Redmi Buds 3 Lite.Â
To recall, Xiaomi launched the Redmi Buds 3 Lite or Youth Edition last October 2021. As the name suggests, it is the lower version of the Redmi Buds 3 Pro.Â
Last July 15, 2022, during Shopee’s Payday sale, Xiaomi gave a 50% discount on its Redmi Buds 3 Lite and I was one of those who bought it. Actually, I am hesitant to buy it since my ears are small and my previous in-ear earphones don’t fit that well and my ears hurt. After 6 months of using it, I don’t have any regrets about buying it. Do you want to know why? Let me share my experience.Â
Unboxing Experience
Before we tackle its design and features, the Redmi Buds 3 Lite comes with a charging case, and small, medium, and large pair of earbuds tips. There are also included small and large size of earbud hooks. As usual, it also comes with a user manual that you might need to read for its functions. However, it does not come with a charging adapter or even a USB Type-C cable.Â
DesignÂ
This TWS has a stylish ergonomic design and is available in Black and White colorways. As you can see, I have the white one which looks very elegant. Its size is compact and greatly fits my small ears as well as its charging case that is so pocketable. The included earbud hooks also made it more ergonomic since it secures the earbuds in your ears.Â
In addition, the earbud itself and the charging case are made out of plastic. They also have a matte finish texture, however, the It also has IP54 rating dust and water resistance which means you can use them anywhere you go even while working out in the gym.Â
Sound QualityÂ
Well, I’m not professional when it comes to detailed checking of sound quality, but this TWS passed my standards. According to Xiaomi, the Redmi Buds 3 Lite has a 6nm dynamic driver which has been expertly tuned by Xiaomi Sound Lab.Â
For me, the highs in this TWS are clean and not piercing, while the mids are decent but lack vocal clarity. It’s just the bass that is dominant, and punchy, which makes it good for bass heads. Besides, it also has a wide sound stage.Â
Moreover, its mic quality is also great and perfect for your online class, video conferencing, or in-game voice because it supports noise cancellation. It also has a low-latency mode that gives you an accurate and immersive gaming experience.Â
BatteryÂ
For its battery life, it gives me up to 4-5 hours of continuous playback and up to 18 hours with its case. That battery life is very decent and it’s already enough for our daily usage. Meanwhile, it took me 2 hours to fully charge its case. To charge it, you can use your phone’s Type-C charger.Â
ConclusionÂ
The Redmi Buds 3 Lite is great for its price, especially when discounted. It can be considered as a bang for the buck TWS earbuds since it already has decent sound quality, design, and battery life. This Redmi Buds 3 Lite is a great go-to earbuds whether when commuting or indoors.Â
By the way, you may also want to buy Final E Eartips to improve the fitting of your ears. These eartips also give more controlled bass and better vocal clarity. I also bought a cute silicon case that has a carabiner, just for added protection.Â
Where to buy the Redmi Buds 3 Lite?Â
The original price of Redmi Buds 3 Lite is PHP 1,099 but a lot of resellers sell this earbuds for just under PHP 600. You can buy it in the Xiaomi official store and local resellers on Shopee and Lazada.Â
