Xiaomi unveiled three new mid-range smartphones in the Redmi Note 12 series: the Redmi Note 12 Pro+ 5G, the Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G, and the Redmi Note 12.Â
Redmi Note 12 Pro+ 5GÂ
The Redmi Note 12 Pro+ 5G has a large 6.67-inch FHD+ Flow AMOLED display with a 120Hz screen refresh rate and up to 900nits max brightness. This screen also supports a 100% DCI-P3 color gamut, HDR10, Dolby Vision, sunlight mode, reading mode, and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection.Â
With its 200MP primary camera with OIS, 8MP ultra-wide lens, and 2MP macro, the flagship-level Redmi Note 12 Pro+ 5G levels up upper mid-range smartphone photography. According to Xiaomi, it can record up to 4K@30fps and 1080p@60fps video. At the front, it has a 16MP selfie camera that can shoot up to 1080p@60fps video.Â
It sports a 6nm MediaTek Dimensity 1080 octa-core processor with Mali-G68 MC4 GPU. The processor is paired with 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB UFS2.2 internal storage. Besides, this phone holds a large 5,000mAh battery capacity that supports 120W HyperCharge technology. It also cools faster because of its LiquidCool technology.Â

Next is the Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G which has the same display, processor, and battery as the Note 12 Pro+ 5G. One of the only differences is the camera setup, which has a 50MP main camera instead of 200MP. Â
This Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G also has 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256GB UFS2.2 internal storage. While for charging, this device supports 67W turbocharging.Â

Lastly, the vanilla variant of the Redmi Note 12 series, arrives with a large 6.67-inch FHD+ AMOLED DotDisplay that also supports a 120Hz screen refresh rate, DCI-P3 color gamut, and up to 1200nits max brightness. However, it only has Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It also boasts a large 5,000mAh battery capacity that supports 33W fast charging.Â
The Redmi Note 12 features 50MP main shooter, 8MP ultra-wide, and 2MP macro lens, as well as 13MP front camera. Its camera can only shoot up to 1080p@30fps video.Â
Additionally, this device is equipped with a 6nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 685 octa-core processor with Adreno 610. Unfortunately, this processor is not 5G ready. It also contains up to 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB internal storage.
The Pro and Pro+ variants are shipped with MIUI 14 based on Android 12 out of the box. While the Redmi Note 12 will arrive with MIUI 14 based on Android 13.Â
