Samsung Electronics has officially announced the Galaxy S25 Edge, a new ultra-thin smartphone joining the Galaxy S series. Designed with a focus on both aesthetics and durability, this premium device measures just 5.8mm thick and is crafted with a strong titanium body.
Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge is now official!
It combines top-tier performance, Galaxy AI features, and professional-grade camera capabilities in a lightweight, compact form.
Weighing only 163 grams, the Galaxy S25 Edge pushes the boundaries of design with its streamlined form factor. The curved edges and titanium frame offer both elegance and durability, making it comfortable to hold and resilient for daily use. It also features the new Corning Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2 on the front for improved screen strength and vibrant visuals.
Despite its slim frame, the S25 Edge packs a punch with a 200MP wide camera that delivers high-resolution images and better low-light performance, with over 40% increased brightness. The 12MP ultra-wide lens includes autofocus, allowing for sharp macro shots and added flexibility.
The camera system is powered by the ProVisual Engine, optimized for detailed textures like clothing or plants, and enhanced portrait realism. AI tools such as Audio Eraser and Drawing Assist also come built-in, providing advanced editing and creative features straight from the Galaxy S25 lineup.
At its core, the Galaxy S25 Edge runs on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Mobile Platform for Galaxy, offering the same high-level performance seen in other S25 series devices. This customized chipset enhances on-device AI processing and ensures fast, efficient multitasking. To manage heat effectively, Samsung reengineered the vapor chamber to be thinner and wider for better cooling.
The phone also features ProScaler, an AI-based tool that improves image scaling quality by 40%, along with Samsung’s mobile Digital Natural Image engine (mDNIe) for optimal visual output.
The Galaxy S25 Edge comes fully equipped with Galaxy AI, delivering smarter, more personalized experiences across apps. It includes features like Now Brief and Now Bar, which integrate with third-party apps to offer relevant reminders and contextual help for everyday tasks.
Samsung’s partnership with Google also brings enhanced Gemini Live features, allowing users to interact with AI by sharing their screen or surroundings for real-time help.
Security remains a priority, with on-device AI and Samsung Knox Vault keeping user data protected while enabling highly customized mobile experiences.
