Samsung has announced the new Galaxy Tab A8 10.5 (2021) that comes with a larger screen, better performance, and more storage.
Samsung Tab A8 (2021) is now official!
The Samsung Tab A8 is Samsung’s current most powerful Tab A Series device. Samsung does not specify its chipset but they mentioned that it has a 10% faster CPU and a 10% faster GPU. According to a leak last month, it runs on the 12nm Unisoc T618 octa-core processor, but we are not sure yet. However, it comes with up to 4GB of RAM for better multitasking.
It comes with a larger 10.5-inch WUXGA TFT screen with a 16:10 aspect ratio and an 80 percent screen-to-body ratio. This device will give an impressive viewing angle experience since it has slim bezels. Besides, it also has a quad-speaker with Dolby Atmos which also boosts your media experience.
This device also features a built-in Samsung TV Plus with more than 200 free channels. You will also get a 2 months YouTube Premium subscription for free.
Moreover, you can choose from 32GB, 64GB, or the new larger 128GB internal storage. It also has a MicroSD card slot so you can expand its storage. Besides, this tablet can also give you hours of usage because of its very large 7,040mAh battery capacity. It supports 15W fast-charging that can charge up your device for approximately 2 hours.
This device is also perfect for your online classes or other video conferencing since it has a 5MP front camera. Meanwhile, it also features an 8MP rear camera which can give decent quality photos and videos.
Furthermore, it will be available in two variants: one with Wi-Fi alone and one with LTE support. If you need mobile data access, the LTE variant is better for you. Anyway, both have Bluetooth 5.0 as well as WiFi 5 that supports 5GHz WiFi.
Price and availability
The price of the new Samsung Tab A8 (2021) will start at EUR 230 (or around PHP 13K). And it will be available in Europe later this month and in other regions in January. Hopefully, Samsung will release this tablet here in the Philippines.
