Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. has officially unveiled the Galaxy S26 series, introducing its most advanced Galaxy AI experience to date.
The lineup includes the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+, and Galaxy S26 Ultra, marking Samsung’s third generation of AI-powered smartphones designed to simplify everyday tasks by working quietly in the background.
According to TM Roh, CEO and Head of the Device eXperience Division at Samsung Electronics, the company focused on making AI dependable and effortless so users can focus on results rather than navigating features.

Faster performance, improved cooling
The Galaxy S26 series runs on Samsung’s most powerful Galaxy S hardware yet, optimized for AI processing, efficiency, and thermal stability.
The Galaxy S26 Ultra is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 Mobile Platform for Galaxy. Samsung claims up to 19 percent faster CPU performance, 39 percent stronger NPU performance for AI tasks, and 24 percent better GPU performance.
A redesigned Vapor Chamber improves heat dissipation, while Super Fast Charging 3.0 can charge the device up to 75 percent in 30 minutes.
Samsung also integrates ProScaler for sharper image scaling and an upgraded mobile Digital Natural Image engine for more precise and natural colors.

Upgraded cameras and editing tools
The Galaxy S26 Ultra features wider apertures for improved low-light photography and enhanced Nightography Video for clearer footage in dim scenes. Super Steady now includes a horizontal lock option for stable framing.
It is also the first Galaxy device to support APV, a new professional-grade video codec designed for high-quality production workflows.
AI ISP enhancements improve selfie quality with more natural skin tones. The upgraded Photo Assist allows users to describe edits in natural language, including scene changes, object restoration, and outfit adjustments.
Creative Studio lets users generate visuals from sketches or prompts, while Document Scan automatically cleans up and compiles scans into PDFs.

More proactive Galaxy AI
Galaxy AI on the S26 series becomes more context-aware. Now Nudge suggests relevant actions, such as surfacing trip photos when asked or checking calendar conflicts from messages. Now Brief provides personalized reminders for events and travel updates.
Circle to Search with Google now supports multi-object recognition. Bixby has been redesigned to support more natural conversations, while additional AI agents including Gemini and Perplexity can handle multi-step tasks across apps through voice commands.
Built-in Privacy Display and stronger security
The Galaxy S26 Ultra introduces what Samsung calls the first built-in Privacy Display on a smartphone. When activated, it limits side-angle visibility while keeping the screen clear for the user. It supports customizable privacy levels and works in both portrait and landscape orientations.
Security updates include AI-powered Call Screening, Privacy Alerts for sensitive app access, and Private Album inside Gallery.
Samsung has also expanded post-quantum cryptography protections to system processes and eSIM transfers through Knox Matrix. The S26 series will receive seven years of security updates.
