Smart glasses are going trendy these days. If we recall, Facebook in collaboration with Ray-Ban has unveiled their first-generation smart sunglasses called Ray-Ban Stories. Now, a Chinese electronics company, TCL just announced its new Thunderbird Smart Glasses Pioneer Edition.
Thunderbird Smart Glasses Pioneer Edition
This Thunderbird Smart Glasses Pioneer Edition is an Augmented Reality smart glasses that features a lot of innovations. Using this, you can view messages, check the news, manage your smart home devices without holding your phone. Aside from that, you can also use it in setting up alarms and calendars, watching videos, and accessing smartphone data. It will just project all of it in its lenses, just like many sci-fi movies.
These smart glasses will look and feel like a normal glass since it has a transparent color display. Also, they used a 4 µm micro-LED display with a holographic waveguide that can provide a full-color image. It is much better than Xiaomi’s concept smart glasses that only had a monochrome display.
Moreover, it also has a camera located in the bridge of the nose. You may take pictures with this device just like the Ray-Ban Stories. All of the taken photos will be automatically transferred to your phone. This may also imply that it must remain linked to your smartphone at all times for internet access and other smart functions.
You may watch the video demonstrations of the TCL Thunderbird Smart Glasses Pioneer Edition to see its futuristic features.
The company announced the Thunderbird Smart Glasses Pioneer Edition, but there is no pricing or availability information provided. The wearable will most likely initially be available in China before making its way to worldwide markets.
