TECNO previously announced on Facebook that the TECNO POVA 5 Pro 5G smartphone is now available in the Philippines.

This is the 5G-ready upgrade of the very capable TECNO POVA 5 budget gaming phone.
With the Turbo Stripes light strip and 9-color RGB interactive design, this device provides a cool-looking 3D Mecha design for gamers. It is a living LED light that alerts you to incoming calls, startup, notifications, charging, games, music, or a low battery. Each mode, according to TECNO, has its own particular lighting pattern.
TECNO also applied an NCVM coating to the Dark Illusion and Silver Fantasy colors for a metallic gloss and low electric conductivity. The device has a 6.78-inch LCD (IPS) screen with a refresh rate of 120 Hz, a touch sampling rate of 240 Hz, and an FHD+ 2460 x 1080 resolution at 391 ppi. 580 nits is the maximum brightness.
The main improvement of the new TECNO POVA 5 PRO 5G is the use of a 2.4GHz 6nm MediaTek Dimensity 6080 octa-core processor with a Mali-G57 MC2 GPU, a 5G-ready chipset that is one of the fastest at this price point.
The smartphone has 8GB of RAM, 8GB of extended RAM (for a total of 16GB), 256GB of internal storage, and a smaller 5,000mAh battery, but it has a faster USB-C 68W Ultra Charge tech with Bypass Charge innovation.
According to TECNO, this battery can provide 9+ hours of continuous gaming and 12 hours of video viewing. It also features STS Secure Battery Technology to prevent internal short circuits and can charge from 0% to 50% in 15 minutes. To avoid potential risks, the phone also offers pop-up alerts if your charging port contains liquid or strange items.
It has a 50 MP primary camera and a 16 MP selfie camera.
TECNO included a dual heat dissipation system for gaming with a massive 2,820 mm2 vapor chamber and 12,979 mm2 dissipation area to keep its performance under check.
A side-mounted fingerprint reader, stereo speakers (dual speakers), Hi-Res Audio Wired/Wireless, DTS Audio, and a Z-axis linear motor are also included. The HiOS 13 skin and Android 13 are its operating systems.
