Save your schedule for the upcoming weekend as the tournament will take place on November 18–19 (Saturday and Sunday) at the Music Hall, SM Mall of Asia, and students representing the six participating universities are already enthusiastically preparing to cheer on the players of their alma mater.
As one of vivo Philippines’ efforts, this thrilling competition aims to strengthen ties with the student body by introducing them to the entertaining game of basketball. According to its agreement with the National Basketball Association (NBA), the well-known smartphone manufacturer would never stop supporting the sport that Filipinos love, especially students at universities.

The Thrilling Expedition of the vivo School Tour
Following its announcement on social media on September 2023, the vivo 3 on 3 Basketball Challenge quickly gained a lot of popularity. With Lyceum of the Philippines University being the first college to be stopped by, the vivo school tour surely got off with a lively start!
Excitingly, the following locations on this tour were the University of the Philippines – Diliman, Jose Rizal University, National University, De La Salle – College of St. Benilde, and De La Salle University – Manila.
Students were visibly enthusiastic about it, especially basketball fans, and quickly showed interest in participating in this sporting event. At each school, more than 80 people happily registered to take part in the challenge.
Out of the many young athletes who volunteered to join, only 24 players were chosen by every college to form six teams who competed passionately on the court in order to advance to the championship game. Ultimately, two winning teams from each institution were proudly qualified for the championship round.
The Championship Showdown
There are only three days remaining before the joyous 3 on 3 vivo Basketball Challenge Grand Finals, and the players who were part of the winning teams continue to be totally committed to their intense practice sessions and are seriously preparing themselves for the upcoming event.
Every team’s focus, commitment, and teamwork increase as the countdown approaches. They want to give it their all on the big stage and will stop at nothing to secure the victory. This championship is surely an intense battle between different college athletes!
