During the grand finals of VALORANT Champions Paris, Riot Games officially introduced Veto, the latest Sentinel agent joining the game’s roster. Originating from Senegal, Veto brings a unique twist to the battlefield with his unstoppable DNA mutation, allowing him to counter enemy powers and technology. In matches where Veto is present, gunplay becomes the ultimate decider.

Veto’s abilities focus on control, disruption, and survivability:
- Chokehold – EQUIP a viscous fragment of your mutation. FIRE to throw. The fragment deploys upon impact, creating a trap to hold enemies in place. Held enemies are Deafened and Decayed. Enemies can destroy the trap before activation.
- Crosscut – EQUIP a vortex. FIRE to place on the ground. While in range and looking at the vortex, REACTIVATE to teleport to the vortex. During the BUY PHASE, the vortex can be reclaimed to be REDEPLOYED.
- Interceptor – EQUIP an Interceptor. FIRE to place the Interceptor at the projected location. Once placed, RE-USE to activate. Once active, it will destroy any utility that would BOUNCE off a player and/or be destroyed naturally by gunfire. Enemies can destroy the Interceptor.
- Evolution – INSTANTLY begin to fully mutate, gaining a combat stim, regeneration, and becoming IMMUNE to all forms of debuffs.

Veto will be available in-game starting October 7, 2025. Alongside the new agent, Riot also launched Skirmish, a new custom mode designed for quick, close-range encounters. Skirmish lets players jump straight into the action, supporting match setups from 1v1 to 5v5 on a new compact map.
Both the new agent and Skirmish mode aim to bring fresh experiences for VALORANT players looking for faster-paced gameplay and new tactical challenges.
