Vertiv, a global provider of critical digital infrastructure and continuity solutions, today announced the Vertiv SmartAisle 3, a micro modular data center system that leverages the power of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to provide enhanced intelligence and enable efficient data center operations.

The SmartAisle 3 is now available in Southeast Asia, Australia, and New Zealand. It can handle up to 120kW of total IT load and is suitable for a variety of industrial applications such as banking, healthcare, government, and transportation.
The SmartAisle 3 is a fully integrated data center ecosystem that includes racks, uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), thermal management and monitoring, and physical security. It builds on Vertiv’s prior SmartAisle technologies.
The newest SmartAisle version has AI capability and self-learning features that dramatically improve the tiny data center’s operational and energy efficiency. Each carriage or rack cabinet contains a Smart Power Output Device, or POD, which regulates power distribution to rack PDUs and acts as a monitoring gateway for carriage conditions such as temperature, humidity, and door status.
With built-in cable integration and front and rear carriage sensors, the SmartAisle 3 reduces the burden of sophisticated on-site cabling installation while also saving data center white space.
Furthermore, the SmartAisle 3 simplifies on-site setup with its one-click networking capability, which quickly configures the data center system. It also has an AI self-learning function that automatically monitors and changes temperature based on the working environment, resulting in energy savings of up to 20% over systems without AI capabilities while maintaining optimal operating conditions.

The Vertiv SmartAisle3 boasts a 15-inch touch screen control panel and the possibility to upgrade to a 95-inch local door display. It improves system visibility and troubleshooting, allowing for optimal efficiency.
The SmartAisle 3 has the Vertiv Liebert APM modular uninterruptible power supply (UPS) system, the Vertiv Liebert CRV 4 in-row cooling system, and the Vertiv Liebert RDU 501 intelligent monitoring system. It also has a flexible busbar system, which simplifies power distribution installation and streamlines the overall system design.
The SmartAisle 3’s latest edition is part of Vertiv’s expanding array of modular solutions that are both adaptable and fully integrated.
