vivo, one of the Philippines’ leading smartphone brands, has announced the winners of its 60-second Masterpiece Short Film Contest.
This vivo’s first-ever film contest is for aspiring Filipino
filmmakers and enthusiasts that encourages them to creatively capture life’s
masterpieces around them using only a smartphone. The participants were asked
to find masterpieces in the ordinary and use the power of storytelling through
videos to capture the narrative with the topic “Own your
Masterpiece.”
vivo 60-second Masterpiece Short Film Awards:
For the awards, the Best Film was awarded to Paul Caisip for “The Social Experiment” – a 60-second film emphasizing the importance of maintaining honesty and integrity even when no one is looking.
The Best vivo Product Placement was presented to Michael Golez for “Untitled” – a film that redefined the term “masterpiece” More than his paintings on canvas, Golez emphasized his life and the experiences he created with his loved ones are his masterpieces.
While the People’s Choice Award was given to Joshua Penes for “Nung Nawala Ka” – an open-letter film of a lover to his beloved.
In addition, the winners of the Best Film, Best vivo Product
Placement, and People’s Choice Awards will each get the newest vivo X80, vivo
Y21T, and vivo Y73 cameras to film more of their life’s masterpieces in
incredible detail and share more stories that matter.
