Last month, vivo has launched the Y53s 5G that features Qualcomm Snapdragon 480, and today launches its 4G variant. This Y53s 4G features the Helio G80 processor and a 64MP and triple rear-camera setup.
Vivo Y53s 4G boasts a dewdrop notch 6.52-inch FHD+ LCD screen with 415 PPI pixel density. Compared to the 5G model, it only supports a 60Hz screen refresh rate. But the 4G model’s selfie camera has a 16MP shooter, whereas the 5G model only has an 8MP selfie camera.
As mentioned above, it features the MediaTek Helio G80 Octa-core processor which only supports 4G LTE connectivity. Besides, it also has 8GB (+3GB virtual) of LPDDR4X RAM, 128GB of internal storage, and a big 5,000mAh battery capacity. Also, the charging speed of the battery of the 4G model has improved from 18W to 33W.
Moreover, it comprises a triple-camera system with a 64MP primary sensor, a 2MP macro sensor, and a 2MP depth sensor with LED light. In addition, it features Night Shot, Portrait, Photo, Video, Panorama, Live Photo, Slow Motion, Time Lapse, Professional, DOC, and 64MP AI.
Other features of this phone are dual-band WiFi, 4G LTE, Multi-Turbo 5.0, Super Game mode, and a USB Type-C port. It also includes a side-mounted fingerprint scanner that claims to unlock the smartphone in just 0.24 seconds. It will also come with two available color variations: Blue Purple and Black Green.
Because OriginOS is officially only available in China, the smartphone runs Android 11-based Funtouch OS 11.1 instead of OriginOS.
Price and availability
The vivo Y53s 4G is currently only available in Vietnam with a price of VND 6,990,000 (around PHP15.2K). Let’s just wait if vivo will plan to release the 4G and 5G models of Y53s in the Philippines.
