Redmi officially announced the upcoming release of its 2nd budget gaming laptop, the Redmi G 2021.

Last year, Xiaomi debuted its first Redmi G gaming laptop that surprise a lot of fans since it is inexpensive. The first lineup is also quite powerful, but Xiaomi said that the latest Redmi G now has ‘invincible high-performance’.
Past few days, Weibo posted the first teaser of the Redmi G 2021 which unveils the launch date and the pricing. According to the post, the Redmi G 2021 is set to launch on September 22, 2021.
For the specifications, all the variants of this laptop will have a larger than usual 16.1-inches display. It will also come with a super-smooth 144Hz screen refresh rate.
To recall, the predecessor of this laptop has the same display specifications. Hopefully, Xiaomi adds different features to its display, this is to have more efficiency than the previous model. Let’s just wait for its release, we don’t know maybe it might come with a brighter display.
Furthermore, it also features a 7nm Ryzen 7 5800H mobile processor that has 8 cores and 16 threads. This processor also has a 3.2GHz base clock with up to a 4.4GHz maximum boost clock.
It is also reported that the company will pair the processor with NVIDIA RTX 3060. Xiaomi said that the Redmi G 2021 with this RTX 3060 can reach a full power consumption of 130W. Besides, with this dedicated GPU, you can enable ray tracing to improve the visuals of the supported games.
This laptop will also have a new cooling system called “Hurricane Cooling 3.0”. This cooling system includes two 12V large fans, five all-copper heat pipes, and four air outlet configurations.
Meanwhile, the Redmi G 2021’s pre-sale page previously revealed that the laptop also comes with an Intel CPU variant.
Price and availability
The official launch of this new Redmi G 2021 is on September 22, 2021. As of the writing, there is no pricing yet as well as the availability of this laptop. Just stay tuned for more updates.
