Reported recently that OnePlus and OPPO will merge OxygenOS with ColorOS. Then yesterday, OPPO just launched its new ColorOS 12 based on Android 12 with more seamless, smooth, and productivity-boosting features.
ColorOS 12 is now official!
OPPO has also tried to improve the accuracy of its different language translations, notably Dutch and Russian. It’s available in up to 67 languages, with the UI and content layout tailored to each one.
Making the design more inclusive for diverse areas and languages is one of Oppo’s primary goals with ColorOS 12. OPPO also mentioned that there is a total of 440 million ColorOS users worldwide, so users’ desire is their priority.
It has also made advancements in handling lags and stutters during continuous operation, particularly in anti-fragmentation and intelligent resource allocation. With that, it will result in a 2.75% system aging rate in three years, 20% lower battery consumption, and 30% reduced memory occupancy.
OPPO made ColorOS 12 with softer icons and animations that are very user-friendly. This ColorOS 12 also features brand-new Quantum Animation Engines which use 300 enhanced animations to produce realistic effects. It includes physical behaviors of resistance, inertia, and rebound.
Moreover, to increase user productivity, they add useful functions such as PC Connect, 3-Finger Translate featuring Google Lens, and FlexDrop.
According to OPPO’s distribution timetable, this makes OPPO one of the first OEMs to get Android 12. They did, however, begin rolling out the public beta on its Find X3 Pro 5G smartphone in Indonesia, Thailand, and Malaysia yesterday. In the next months, OPPO intends to extend to additional models, covering more nations and regions, including the Philippines.
ColorOS 12 Beta Version roll-out timeline:
- November 2021 – OPPO Find X2 Pro, Reno6 5G
- December 2021 – OPPO Reno6, Reno6 Z 5GB, Reno5, Reno5 Marvel Edition, A74 5G
- First Half 2022 – OPPO Reno 10X Zoom, Reno5 5G, Reno4 Z 5G, Reno4, Reno 3 Pro, Reno3, A94
