OPPO announced a three-year partnership with camera manufacturer Hasselblad to co-develop industry-leading camera technology for OPPO’s flagship Find X series.
OPPO announces strategic partnership in mobile imaging with Hasselblad
Last year, OPPO and OnePlus have united together and merged their ColorOS and OxygenOS. They combined their research and development to maximize efficiency and improve user experience. If we remember, OnePlus and Hasselblad also have had a three-year partnership since last year. With the photography advancements made in the partnership of OnePlus and Hasselblad, OPPO also announced a partnership with Hasselblad.
“Following the success of OnePlus and Hasselblad’s collaboration in the past year, we are very pleased to see the partnership enter a new stage of development, giving more users around the world a chance to enjoy the legendary Hasselblad mobile imaging experience,” says Pete Lau, Chief Product Officer. “Camera color performance has always been a focus for OPPO and a part of Hasselblad’s DNA. We are very excited to be able to explore the future of Hasselblad Camera for Mobile together.”
Through R&D collaboration, OPPO and Hasselblad will now work together to further create innovative image solutions. It aims to offer consumers more realistic colors and a more sophisticated image experience. Using Hasselblad Realistic Color Calibration, OPPO aims to achieve the most natural skin tone possible in their portrait photos.
To recall, OPPO launched the MariSilicon X imaging NPU last December 2021 that focuses on improving photo and video quality. They will now feature cameras designed with Hasselblad including the upcoming new flagship Find X series smartphones.
