After two years of pandemic, the travel restrictions are now being lifted. Allowing people to go to other cities and even other countries. But all of us are now very much connected to social media that we cannot travel without internet connection. This is why people bring portable WiFi everywhere they go.
The Cherry Roam 5G U50 is just the device to bring to your travels. Cherry notes that the Cherry Roam 5G U50 can deliver “ultra-fast and ultra-smooth” 5G roaming experience anywhere you go. Anywhere in the world, as long as there is a 5G connection in the area.
Cherry Roam 5G U50 features
The device can connect up to 16 devices and can be used as a charging device. Which is an upgrade from its previous generation, the Cherry T2 Slim. A 4G device that can only connect to 5 devices.
As the device is in 5G, we can already expect for it to have high internet speed. In particular, this device has up to 2.5 Gbps speed with a 30 percent decrease in delay and stall rate compared to 4G. This is for uninterrupted video streaming and online learning for everyone. Compared to the speed of 4G, this device has an internet speed 16 times faster.
5G is not only improved in terms of the speed, but also in terms of latency. Latency is how long it takes for data to be transmitted from one point to another. This means that low latency is good because this means fast and responsive network. A few estimates suggests that the average latency of a 4G network can range from 50 to 100 milliseconds. While the average latency for a 5G network is only around 10 milliseconds. Which is a huge difference between 4G and 5G network latency, and also means 5G is in really faster than 4G network.
This device also has Instant Network Reselection that monitors active and standby data networks. This allows for it to smartly switch to the best connection available. The Cherry Roam 5G U50 has a 2.4-inch touchscreen. This allows the users to personalize the pocket WiFi, monitor their data consumption, check signal strength and count the number of devices connected to it.
Not only that, as mentioned earlier, this device can be used as a charging device. It has a power bank function using its Reverse Charging feature. And best believe that you will be able to travel for a whole day because it is equipped with a 5,400 mAh battery capacity. And it can last for over 12 hours. Its battery capacity is huge for a pocket WiFi, so you can use it as a power bank when needed.
Using the device is pretty simple, you just need to pair it with the Cherry Roam mobile app and you are ready to go. Although 5G coverage is still limited, the 5G network continues to roll out to different countries.
The device comes in either black or red color. Since it is called a ‘pocket WiFi’ you can assume it is lightweight and small. It has the dimension of 151.5mm x 68mm x 14.3mm and only 194g. The device uses English, Japanese, Chinese and Korean languages.
