Xiaomi Philippines just launched its new Xiaomi 13 series high-end smartphones in the country. To recall, this Xiaomi 13 series is first launched in China last December 2022. Â
This new Xiaomi 13 series is powered by the latest 4nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 octa-core chipset paired with up to 12GB LPDDR5X and up to 512GB UFS4.0 internal storage. They also run the new MIUI 14 based on Android 13. Let’s see further if they are worth buying.Â

Starting with the top-of-the-line Xiaomi 13 Pro, which features a large 6.7-inch WQHD+ LTPO AMOLED 3D-curved display that supports a 120Hz screen refresh rate and 240Hz touch sampling rate. Its screen also features AdaptiveSync Pro, HDR10+, Dolby Vision, DCI-P3 color gamut, 360-degree ambient light sensors, up to 1900nits max brightness, and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection.Â
Xiaomi 13 Pro highlights its Leica 1-inch sensor size 50MP Sony IMX989 main shooter with HyperOIS, 50MP Leica 75mm floating telephoto lens with OIS, and 50MP ultra-wide lens. Since the collaboration with Leica, its rear camera features Leica Authentic Look, Leica Vibrant Look, Leica filters, Leica classic shutter sound, and Leica Watermark. Besides, there’s also a 32MP in-display selfie camera.Â
Meanwhile, its stock camera features are Xiaomi ProFocus, Lightning Burst, Night Mode, Portrait Night Mode, up to 70x digital zoom, HDR, Documents, Clone, Supermoon, and many more. By the way, its camera can record up to 8K@24fps video and HDR video with Dolby Vision up to 4K@60fps.Â
Xiaomi 13 Pro also features a large 4,820mAh battery capacity that supports Smart 120W HyperCharge, 50W wireless turbo charging, and 10W reverse wireless charging.Â
Xiaomi mentioned that the 120W HyperCharge can fully charge the phone in just 19 minutes when boost mode is on, but 24 minutes when just standard mode. Besides, they also mentioned the device also features the Xiaomi Surge Battery Management system.Â

Now, let’s talk about the vanilla model of this series, the Xiaomi 13. This device features a smaller 6.36-inch flat FHD+ AMOLED display that also features a 120Hz refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling rate, AdaptiveSync, Pro HDR, Dolby Vision, HDR10+, and DCI-P3 color gamut.Â
Xiaomi 13 also features a great camera setup consisting of a 50MP Leica main shooter with HyperOIS, a 10MP Leica telephoto camera, and a 12MP Leia ultra-wide lens. This camera setup also has Leica Authentic Look, Leica Vibrant Look, Leica filters, Leica classic shutter sound, and Leica Watermark. Besides, there’s also a 32MP in-display selfie camera.Â
Moreover, it is equipped with a large 4,500mAh battery capacity that supports 67W wired turbo charging, 50W wireless turbo charging, and 10W reverse wireless charging. The 67W charger can fully charge the phone within 38 minutes, while 48 minutes for the 50W wireless charging.Â
