OnePlus, a leading global technology company, today released an exclusive film commemorating its tenth anniversary with founding members and friends.
The video looks back on a decade of OnePlus accomplishments and looks forward to the company’s future, including the impending OnePlus 12 and OnePlus 12R flagship handsets, which will be available internationally on January 23, 2024.
OnePlus also stated during the video that the OnePlus R series will be available outside of India and China for the first time in the series’ existence.
OnePlus has developed from a bold but simple idea to a known technology company with products and consumers in all four corners of the globe in only 10 years. OnePlus has reached over 50 markets across the world and has a registered community member base of more than 50.2 million people.
As of the end of October 2023, global OnePlus device sales had increased 59% over the same period the previous year, and by as much as 40% in India, showing the brand’s sustained international development and awareness.
Celebrating 10 Years of Innovation and Never Settle
In the video, Pete Lau and Kinder Liu, two of the founders of OnePlus, get together with friends who also embody the Never Settle mentality to talk about their initial inspiration and goal for building OnePlus into a company that produces high-end, user-focused technology that challenges conventional wisdom and the status quo in the market.
“Back in 2013, we were a small team, but we had really big ideas about building better products,” said Pete Lau, Founder of OnePlus.
“Even though so much has changed since our humble beginnings, just as much has stayed the same. Regardless of how the world has changed around us, our essence as OnePlus remains the same. As long as we hold on to our ‘Never Settle’ ethos, OnePlus will always stay true to its roots.” he added.

A Masterpiece Ten Years in the Making: Introducing the OnePlus 12 Series
OnePlus used the occasion to share additional details about its coming OnePlus 12 Series. The OnePlus 12 Series has been under development for a decade to address an industry-wide difficulty in combining high performance, high battery consumption, effective heat dissipation, and lifespan.
The two devices, the OnePlus 12 and OnePlus 12R are designed to demonstrate that a smartphone does not need to be “Plus,” “Pro,” or “Ultra” to provide the best hardware specs and software experience. Instead, the dual flagship OnePlus 12 and OnePlus 12R each have unique attributes that allow users to choose what’s important to them in their next smartphone.
The OnePlus 12 is an all-around flagship phone that symbolizes OnePlus’ decade-long technological superiority.
