realme is here again to launch a new entry-level phone that will bring a quality champion experience, the realme C65.
As of now, we don’t have the official pricing of the realme C65, but it might be under PHP 10K like the other devices in the realme C-series. I am also glad that we will be able to test another device in the series again because the realme C53 that we last reviewed is also worth buying.
Unboxing Experience
The realme C65 comes with a yellow box with the model name and realme branding on the front and there is also written 48-month fluency protection on the upper-left. Behind it, of course, are the highlight features like battery, display, design, and chipset.
When you open the box, you will see the cardboard containing the quick guide and safety guide, as well as the free jelly case and SIM ejector tool. Underneath it is our realme C65, USB-C cable, and 45W SUPERVOOC adapter.
Design and Build Quality
In fairness, it looks very premium. It also resembles a flagship phone of another brand, so you won’t confuse it for an entry-level phone. Its available colorway is Starlight Black & Starlight Purple, and the unit we have is the Starlight Black colorway.
Its back has a matte finish, then its design is glittery which realme calls Shining Starlight Design. The camera island looks glittery, but the texture is glossy. It has a three-camera bump but it’s really just a dual camera, one module is just a design.
This phone also has flat sides, and its thickness is only 7.64mm which makes it very comfortable to hold, especially since it is light because it weighs only 185g. It also feels premium when you hold it because of its solid build quality.
On the sides, we can see the 3.5mm headphone jack on the bottom along with the microphone, USB-C port, and single-firing speaker. The Dedicated SIM tray is on the left side, then the volume rockers and power button/fingerprint scanner are on the right side. Meanwhile, we can’t see anything on its top.
We can see in front of it the 6.7-inch IPS LCD with HD+ resolution, 90Hz refresh rate, and 180Hz touch sampling rate. This also supports up to 500nits brightness and can be cranked up to 625nits in high brightness mode. Its resolution is low, but it will benefit performance and battery consumption.
What’s inside the realme C65
Let’s talk about the hardware of this realme C65. It has a 12nm MediaTek Helio G85 octa-core chipset with a Mali-G52 GPU which can be considered quite old but let’s see in our full review if the performance we get is optimized or flop.
As for memory, it has 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage. For me, it’s good that it has 256GB of storage because apps and games are eating up space nowadays.
While on the software, it runs realme UI 5.0 based on Android 14 and what’s even more interesting about the realme C65 is that it has helpful features that realme calls “real Essentials” which includes Air Gestures, Dynamic Button, Mini Capsule 2.0, Rainwater Smart Touch, Smart Code Scan, Customized Lowest Brightness, AI Boost, and Riding Mode.
The battery capacity on the realme C65 is 5,000mAh and it supports 45W SUPERVOOC charging. We will also test that in our review to see how fast it charges.
Therefore, if there is anything you want to know or test on realme C65, please leave a comment so we may include it in our full review article.
