TP-Link has introduced the Archer BE220 in the Philippines, a new Wi-Fi 7 router aimed at delivering next-generation connectivity at a more accessible price point.
TP-Link Archer BE220 Officially Launches in the Philippines
While positioned as one of the most affordable Wi-Fi 7 routers currently available, the BE220 brings several upgrades over previous models without straying far from the essentials.
The Archer BE220 supports speeds of up to 3.6Gbps and features dual-band support (2.4GHz and 5GHz), making it suitable for households with multiple connected devices.
This model includes four external antennas and beamforming technology, intended to improve signal strength and coverage throughout the home.
It also features Multi-Link Operation (MLO), a core feature of Wi-Fi 7 that allows for simultaneous data transmission across multiple bands, which can help reduce latency and improve network efficiency.
In terms of ports, the router is equipped with one 1Gbps WAN port and four 1Gbps LAN ports, offering wired connectivity options for users with devices like gaming consoles, desktop PCs, and smart TVs.
TP-Link’s BE220 also supports EasyMesh, allowing it to be part of a mesh network to eliminate dead zones and extend Wi-Fi coverage in larger spaces. It’s backward-compatible with previous Wi-Fi standards and works with most internet service providers, making it a plug-and-play upgrade for many users.
Security and network management are handled via TP-Link’s HomeShield suite, which offers features such as parental controls, activity monitoring, and device prioritization. Users can manage these settings using the TP-Link Tether app, which supports remote network monitoring and control.
With its combination of Wi-Fi 7 capabilities, mesh support, and accessible pricing, the Archer BE220 is positioned to appeal to users looking for an entry point into next-gen home networking.
As of writing, the Archer BE220 is available online via Lazada and Shopee, at the TP-Link Concept Store in SM North EDSA, and through authorized IT retail stores nationwide. Retail price starts at ₱2,399.
