OPPO teams up with Google Cloud to create a smarter, more personal AI experience on smartphones
As smartphones become more than just devices, OPPO is taking a big step forward with its new AI Operating System (AIOS). Revealed at the Google Cloud Export Summit in Beijing, the company shared its vision for a future where AI not only understands you but anticipates your needs.
This vision is made possible through OPPO’s collaboration with Google Cloud, focusing on two main goals: Memory Symbiosis and Privacy Protection.
“The essence of AI is understanding the user. Together with Google Cloud, we are shaping OPPO AI into a truly personalized intelligent companion,” said Haonan Lu, Head of Large Model Algorithms at OPPO.

Tackling Key Pain Points with System-Level AI for a Cohesive Service Experience
Even with the rise of AI features, users still struggle to retain, locate, and anticipate information. OPPO’s next-gen AIOS tackles this with memory as a core system layer:
- AI Mind Space acts as a “second brain,” organizing information from text, images, and voice interactions.
- AI Search, built with Google Gemini, improves natural language understanding, letting users find what they need across apps easily.
- AI Suggest combines memory and real-time context to offer proactive recommendations.
These features work together while keeping user data private. AI Search pulls from local memory, and AI Suggest makes precise suggestions without compromising privacy.

Fortifying Privacy in AIOS and Fostering an Open Ecosystem
Privacy is central to OPPO’s AI strategy. Its Private Computing Cloud (PCC) uses Google Cloud’s Confidential Computing to process data securely without exposing it.
OPPO’s AI strategy is built on three pillars: on-device compute, the PersonaX memory symbiosis engine, and the Agent Matrix framework. By encouraging open collaboration and Agent-to-Agent interoperability, OPPO and Google Cloud aim to create a seamless, cross-app intelligent experience for users worldwide.
Together, OPPO and Google Cloud are pushing for a privacy-first, highly personalized AIOS, making smartphones smarter and more intuitive while keeping user trust at the forefront.
