Canon Marketing Philippines, Inc. recently gathered media partners, brand ambassadors, and members of the creator community for its annual Thanksgiving Celebration held on January 27, 2026.
During the event, Canon officially announced the launch of Canon PhotoMarathon 2026, one of the country’s longest-running photography competitions.
Canon PhotoMarathon is back!

Originally launched in Singapore in 2003, the Canon PhotoMarathon has grown into a regional event held across countries such as Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, and the Philippines.
Now in its 19th year locally, the competition continues to challenge photographers to produce creative images within a limited time and based on given themes.
For 2026, Canon is putting a stronger spotlight on video creation, encouraging participants to tell stories through motion, sound, and storytelling alongside traditional photography.
The Canon PhotoMarathon 2026 is scheduled for April 18, 2026, at the BGC Amphitheater, Taguig City. The competition is open to professionals, hybrid creators, camera club members, students, and photography enthusiasts. Selected categories are also open to non-Canon users.
