The new HONOR 600 has officially arrived in the Philippines, bringing several notable upgrades over its predecessor. Priced starting at PHP 28,999, the smartphone comes with a higher price tag compared to the HONOR 400, raising the question: is it still worth buying?
After using the HONOR 600 for almost a month, it became clear that this device is more than just a stylish smartphone.
From its premium-looking design and capable cameras to its impressive battery life and reliable performance, the HONOR 600 offers a balanced experience for content creators, students, and professionals.

Design and Build Quality
One of the first things you’ll notice about the HONOR 600 is its premium-looking design. The rear camera layout and flat sides somewhat resemble the upcoming iPhone 17 Pro, giving the device a more flagship-inspired appearance.
Our review unit came in the Golden White colorway, though HONOR also offers Black and Orange variants. The Orange version, in particular, stands out with an even more striking flagship-inspired aesthetic.
Despite packing a large battery, the phone feels surprisingly lightweight and compact compared to many modern smartphones. It’s comfortable to hold for extended periods, whether you’re gaming, scrolling through social media, or capturing content outdoors.
HONOR also equipped the device with durability features, including Drop & Crush resistance certification alongside IP68, IP69, and IP69K water and dust resistance ratings. While most users probably won’t intentionally test those claims, it’s reassuring to know the phone offers additional protection.
Another feature that proved genuinely useful is the dedicated AI button located on the lower-right side. It can instantly launch the camera app, making it especially convenient for quick photo captures. During bike rides, for example, launching the camera becomes much faster without needing to wake the display first.

Cameras
The HONOR 600 features a 200MP main camera paired with a 12MP ultra-wide/macro lens. Although the rear setup only includes two actual cameras, HONOR also added a dedicated color temperature sensor to improve color accuracy.

In real-world use, the camera delivers vibrant colors, solid sharpness, and good detail reproduction. Daylight shots appear pleasing and well-processed, while low-light performance is surprisingly reliable for its category.
At the front, the phone houses a 50MP selfie camera capable of producing detailed and natural-looking selfies under good lighting conditions. While image quality slightly softens in darker environments or with shaky hands, the results remain decent overall.

Video recording is another strong point of the HONOR 600. Thanks to the combination of Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) and Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS), footage remains relatively stable even while biking on rough roads.
One of the standout additions this year is the upgraded AI Image-to-Video 2.0 feature. Unlike the previous implementation that automatically generated movements, users can now input prompts to guide how the generated video should look.
While the feature is still far from perfect, it’s entertaining to use and shows HONOR’s continued push toward AI-powered creativity tools.
Display and Multimedia Experience
The HONOR 600 is equipped with a 6.57-inch AMOLED display featuring FHD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and up to 8,000 nits peak brightness.
Although slightly smaller than many smartphones released recently, the display still delivers an immersive viewing experience. Colors appear vibrant, visuals remain sharp, and scrolling feels consistently smooth thanks to the stable 120Hz refresh rate.

Outdoor visibility is excellent as well. The high peak brightness makes the screen easy to read even under direct sunlight, which is particularly useful for outdoor activities and content creation.
For multimedia consumption, the stereo speakers provide surprisingly good audio quality. They don’t sound thin or overly compressed, making videos, games, and music more enjoyable without immediately needing external speakers or earphones.
Performance and Gaming
Powering the HONOR 600 is the 4nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processor with Adreno 722 GPU, along with up to 12GB RAM and 512GB storage.
For everyday tasks such as social media browsing, content creation, messaging, and multitasking, the phone performs smoothly without noticeable issues. The MagicOS 10 software based on Android 16 also feels stable during daily use.

Gaming performance is equally solid. Popular titles run smoothly, including demanding games like Genshin Impact. The device does warm up slightly when graphics settings are maxed out, but overall stability remains good.
Benchmark results also reinforce its capable performance. The phone scored around 1.3M points on AnTuTu and achieved 15,190 points in PCMark Work 3.0, making it a strong performer within its segment.
Battery and Charging
Battery life is arguably one of the HONOR 600’s strongest features. The smartphone packs a massive 7,000mAh battery, which is impressive considering how slim and lightweight the device feels.
During testing, playing Genshin Impact for around four to five hours only reduced the battery from roughly 50% down to 20%. That level of endurance is already enough to outlast many competing smartphones even when starting from a full charge.
Of course, battery performance will still vary depending on usage habits, display settings, and environmental conditions, especially with the current hot weather in the Philippines.
Charging is also fast thanks to support for 80W HONOR SuperCharge technology. Enabling the boost charging option significantly shortens charging times, making it easy to quickly top up the battery before heading out.
Final Verdict
Despite the noticeable price increase, the HONOR 600 still delivers good overall value considering its upgraded features and balanced user experience.
The device offers a premium and lightweight design, capable cameras, smooth performance, dependable gaming experience, excellent battery life, and useful AI-powered features. The AI Image-to-Video 2.0 feature, while still evolving, also adds a fun creative element that some users may appreciate.
For content creators, students, professionals, or users simply looking for a reliable smartphone in the PHP 28,999 price range, the HONOR 600 is a compelling option worth considering.
