It’s been two months since vivo Philippines launched the vivo V70 FE, and they lent us a review unit. We’ve been using it for one month already, and here are our experiences and insights about this phone.

Camera
One of the main highlights of the vivo V70 FE is its camera system. It features a 200MP main camera with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), an 8MP ultra-wide camera, and a 32MP front camera.

The image quality from both the rear and front cameras is good. However, I was expecting slightly better quality since we also had the chance to try the vivo V70.

Although the main camera has a higher megapixel count than the V70, it still can’t outperform a dedicated periscope or telephoto camera when it comes to zoom photography.

That said, the zoomed-in photos still retain good detail and appear fairly sharp. Colors are also vibrant, even when using Night Mode. Speaking of Night Mode, the phone delivers good low-light performance, and the image quality is impressive.

As for video recording, the video quality is decent. The footage is sharp and detailed, although I think it could have better color reproduction and improved brightness and shadow management. On the bright side, the video stabilization performs well, resulting in stable footage.

Display and Multimedia Experience
The vivo V70 FE features a larger 6.83-inch AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+, and up to 1,900 nits of peak brightness.
Since it has a large display, watching videos on this phone is very enjoyable thanks to its vibrant colors and high resolution. The 120Hz refresh rate is also well optimized, making scrolling feel smooth.
Unfortunately, I’m not particularly impressed with its stereo speakers, as they sound a bit too treble-heavy, similar to other vivo smartphones. The display is bright enough for comfortable outdoor use.

Performance and Gaming
The vivo V70 FE is also quite powerful, thanks to its 4nm MediaTek Dimensity 7360 Turbo chipset paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage.
The device provides enough performance to handle all the apps I normally use. Its overall performance hits the sweet spot if you’re looking for a capable smartphone at this price.
Gaming performance is also smooth, especially in Call of Duty: Mobile and Genshin Impact. However, the phone’s thermal management isn’t the best, as it tends to heat up fairly quickly during extended gaming sessions.

Battery and Charging
The vivo V70 FE delivered enough battery life for my daily needs. It allowed me to complete all my tasks without worrying too much about the battery. It can last an entire day depending on my usage, although there were times when the battery drained by the evening.
Fortunately, it supports 90W FlashCharge, allowing the phone to be fully charged in about one hour.

Final Verdict
The vivo V70 FE is a good alternative if the vivo V70 is beyond your budget, as it offers a fairly similar overall experience. It comes with a large battery, decent cameras, a high-quality display, and a capable chipset. Its pricing is competitive and well-matched to its specifications. I can recommend this phone to professionals, students, and aspiring content creators.
