HUAWEI has officially introduced the HUAWEI nova Y74 in the Philippines. This means that a new mid-range smartphone is joining in on devices that focus on battery life, durability, and everyday usability.
The device also arrives with a limited-time offer that lets early buyers purchase it below the SRP.
Built for Longer Usage
One of the key features of the HUAWEI nova Y74 is its 6,620mAh battery, which uses silicon-carbon technology to deliver extended battery life without significantly increasing the phone’s size.
According to HUAWEI, the battery can provide up to 24.9 hours of online video streaming, 59.3 hours of music playback, or 48.1 hours of voice calls on a single charge.
When it’s time to recharge, the device supports 40W HUAWEI SuperCharge Turbo, which is said to replenish the battery to 53 percent in just around 30 minutes. A quick 15-minute charge can also provide up to five hours of video playback.
Durability-focused Design
The nova Y74 is also designed with durability in mind. Carrying an SGS Five-Star Drop Resistance Certification, HUAWEI claims that it can survive drops from heights of up to 1.8 meters.
The company also says the phone can withstand up to 65 kilograms of pressure and continue operating in temperatures as low as -20°C. In addition, it comes with IP64 dust and splash resistance, while the display remains responsive even when used with wet hands.

On the other hand, HUAWEI has also included a customizable X Button for quick access to frequently used apps and shortcuts. This allows users to assign functions through double-press and long-press gestures.
HUAWEI nova Y74’s Display, Cameras, and Performance
At the front, the HUAWEI nova Y74 features a 6.67-inch HD+ LCD with a 90Hz refresh rate and up to 850 nits of peak brightness. It also incorporates HUAWEI’s EyeEase technology, which helps reduce blue light.
Powering the smartphone is an unspecified Kirin processor, paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. The device runs EMUI 12 out of the box.
On the photography side, it is handled by a 50MP main rear camera, accompanied by an auxiliary sensor, while selfies are captured using an 8MP front-facing camera.
The nova Y74 also supports NFC, Bluetooth 5.1, dual SIM connectivity, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, and USB Type-C charging.

Price and Availability
The HUAWEI nova Y74 is now available for PHP 15,999 in the Philippines in the colors Black and Blue.
But as part of its launch promotion, customers can purchase the smartphone for only PHP 14,999 until August 31, 2026, along with a PHP 300 early bird voucher and a free premium gift worth PHP 1,499 through the HUAWEI Online Store and its official stores on Shopee, Lazada, and TikTok Shop.
