Apple’s latest launch event was headlined by the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max, but the company had more than its usual yearly iPhone upgrades to show off.
Alongside the new Pro models, Apple introduced the iPhone Duo, its first foldable iPhone, as well as the Apple Watch Series 12, Apple Watch Ultra 4, and AirPods 5. Across the lineup, Apple put a lot of focus on AI, cameras, health, battery life, and how its devices work together.
iPhone 18 Series Focuses on Camera, Performance, and AI
The iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max come in Black, Silver, Glacier, and a new Burgundy finish. The biggest changes are inside, with Apple focusing on four areas: intelligence, performance, battery life, and cameras.

The new 48MP Fusion Main camera adds variable aperture for the first time on an iPhone. There are also new Pro controls for aperture, shutter speed, white balance, and exposure, while Cinematic effects can now be applied even after recording.
Apple also introduced Apple Reference Image, which can create an unalterable reference version of a photo to help verify whether an image has been AI-edited.
The iPhone 18 Pro is powered by the A20 Pro chip and a new vapor chamber designed to improve sustained performance. Apple is also claiming its biggest battery-life increase yet for the iPhone 18 Pro Max, with up to 45 hours of video playback. The iPhone 18 Pro gets up to 36 hours, with both models able to reach 50 percent charge in around 15 minutes.
Siri AI
AI was another major part of the launch. With iOS 27, Siri AI is designed to understand personal context and work across apps, messages, emails, photos, and what is currently on the screen.
Apple is calling the iPhone an “intelligent personal hub,” with Apple Intelligence and Siri AI working across the wider ecosystem. iOS 27 also brings more customization for Liquid Glass, new child safety tools, iPhone Handoff, and more features.
iPhone Duo as Apple’s First Foldable iPhone
Apple also introduced the iPhone Duo, its first foldable iPhone, with a 7.6-inch inner display and 5.4-inch outer screen. iOS 27 adapts to the folding design, while the larger display supports features like Split View and Apple Pencil support, coming later this year.

The phone uses a grade 5 titanium design with Ceramic Shield protection and an IP68 rating. It runs on the A20 Pro chip and uses two batteries that work together, with up to 24 hours of typical use when both displays are used equally.

New Apple Watch and AirPods 5
Apple also updated its accessories lineup with the Apple Watch Series 12, Apple Watch Ultra 4, and AirPods 5.

The new watches focus on health, fitness, and AI, with improved health sensing and features like Readiness and Health Age. Apple is also adding AI-powered guidance and Audio Intelligence, including sound recognition and tools that can help users catch up on missed conversations.
Meanwhile, AirPods 5 bring active noise cancellation to an open-ear design, with Apple claiming up to 50 percent more noise reduction than AirPods 4 with ANC. They also add Adaptive Audio, hands-free Siri controls, Live Translation, and improved resistance to rain, sweat, and dust.

What Stands Out
This year’s event showed Apple continuing to refine its products around performance, AI, health, and how its devices work together.
The iPhone 18 Pro brings more control to the camera, longer battery life, and a bigger focus on AI. The iPhone Duo is the more significant design shift, bringing Apple’s take on a foldable phone with an interface built around its two displays.
Meanwhile, the Apple Watch updates lean heavily into health data and personalized guidance, while AirPods 5 make ANC more accessible in an open-ear design.
Together, Apple’s latest lineup shows where the company is actually heading: more personal AI, more health data, stronger cameras, longer battery life, and devices that work more closely together.
